Do not Fall Down Again

Dear Devotees,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

Srila Prabhupada says, "So you have come to Krsna consciousness movement. Be very careful. Do not waste your time. Do not fall down again. Mam aprapya nivartante mrtyu-samsara-vartmani. If in this life you neglect to achieve Krsna consciousness, then you have to return back again to the lower grade of life according to your karma. You can become next life a dog, a cat, a tree, according to your karma. So don't degrade yourself again because nature's law you cannot avoid. Daivi hy... You may be very proud so long this body is there, that "I don't care for anything." My dear sir, you don't say that. You are not independent. You have to care. You will be obliged to take care, but because you are a fool, you are rascal, unnecessarily you are proud and you are thinking that you are independent. Don't do like that. Thank you very much." (end)

This is a powerful punch by Srila Prabhupada taken from one of Bhagavad-Gita lectures warning us about the danger we are facing at every step of our existence, all of us should very seriously think about our spiritual advancement. In connection to this punch I have taken purport from book, "Teaching of Queen Kunti" page 8-9.

Srila Prabhupada uvaca:  If one takes to KC , in the beginning there will be many disturbance caused by maya , the material energy of illusion. Maya will test us to see firmly we are fixed in KC. Because she is also an agent of Krsna, she dose not allow anyone the freedom to disturb Krsna. Therefore she test very rigidly to see whether we have taken to KC to disturb Krsna or are actually serious. That is Maya's business. So in the beginning there will be tests by Maya, and we shall feel so many disturbances while making progress in KC. But if we follow the rules and regulations and chant regularly as prescribed then we shell remain steady. If we neglect these principles, Maya will capture us immediatelyMaya is always ready. We are in the ocean, and at any moment we may be disturbed. Therefore one who is not disturbed at all is called paramahamsa.

After reading this part I have ask myself how can I disturb Krsna?  I will write about this soon.

Your fallen servant,
Muralidhara das
