Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudev!

This is in continuation of the previous offering titled, "Krishna Reveals Himself" - wherein we were meditating on how Lord Brahmaji got the darshan of the eternal transcendental form of Supreme Lord after 1000 celestial years of penance. Now we shall see further.

In Srimad Bhagavatam verse 2.9.9 Sukadev Goswami begins to explain the beautiful darshan provided by the Supreme Lord Krishna to Brahmaji.

tasmai sva-lokam bhagavaan sabhaajitah
sandarshayaam aasa param na yat-param
vyapeta-sanklesha-vimoha-saadhvasam
sva-drshtavadbhir purushair abhishthutam

"The Personality of Godhead, being thus very much satisfied with the penance of Lord Brahma, was pleased to manifest His personal abode, Vaikuntha, the supreme planet above all others. This transcendental abode of the Lord is adored by all self-realized persons freed from all kinds of miseries and fear of illusory existence."

Srila Prabhupada mentions in the purport to the above verse, "The troubles of penance accepted by Lord Brahmä were certainly in the line of devotional service (bhakti). Otherwise there was no chance that Vaikuntha or svalokam, the Lord's personal abodes, would become visible to Brahmaji." So whatever austerities we do should be in line with the instructions given by Guru, sadhu and shastras. That will please the Supreme Lord. We should not undergo any austerity whimsically. His Divine Grace nicely mentions, "The whole Vaikuntha existence proclaims that everyone there is a follower of the Lord. The Lord is the chief leader there, without any competition for leadership, and the people in general are all followers of the Lord. It is confirmed in the Vedas, therefore, that the Lord is the chief leader and all other living entities are subordinate to Him, for only the Lord satisfies all the needs of all other living entities."

If we develop this mood of serving the Lord, seeing everyone as followers of the Lord, then we can have experience of Vaikuntha even in this material world. The moment we start seeing everyone as competitors and start expecting everyone to follow us instead of Krishna, then we experience all kuntha - anxieties and our lose peace of mind.

Just like how Brahmaji describes the beauty of the transcendental abode of Lord in his Brahma Samhita, Sukadev Goswami describes in Srimad Bhagavatam regarding the beautiful darshan given by the Supreme Lord to Brahmaji along with His eternal associates and His Vaikuntha planet. Sukadev Goswami further describes the transcendental abode of the Lord is free from the influence of three modes and there both demons and demigods worship the Lord as His devotees. Brahmaji could also see that the residents of Vaikuntha having beautiful bodily features like that of Supreme Lord. He could also see various kinds of glowing airplanes surrounding the Vaikuntha planets. Brahmaji could also have darshan of the various doorkeepers engaged in the service of guarding and decorating the different gates of the Vaikuntha planet.

Krishna willing we shall meditate further on this topic in the subsequent offering.

Hare Krishna.
Thank you very much,
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Sudarshana devi dasi.
