Cultivate Theistic Conduct - Part 4

Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudev.

This is in continuation of the transcription of one of the nectarean class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj. In previous offering we heard from Maharaj about

i) the importance of theistic conduct and how Vedic culture was spread everywhere around the world in ancient times.
ii) Brahmaji's instruction in Brahma Samhita on theistic conduct and practising devotional service based on shastras.
iii) Secret of Healthy Life
iv) However hard we try, we can take nothing with us.

Now we shall hear further from Maharaj.

Maharaj: Yesterday we saw, that the wealth we have to leave here, our cars - we have to leave here, our wife we have to forget here, our husband we have to forget here. And nobody can help you, nobody can help you. It’s all alone. And this loneliness, all alone, you are in the whole of the life journey, we falsely think that we are in a group. The group cannot help you. Your body has to be maintained by you, alone. If there is something wrong, you have to suffer alone. You have to enjoy alone, you have to suffer alone. And all the time, we are all alone. Nobody can help us these things. We love our children very much. But something goes wrong with them, you cannot give them one breath. We may be miserable, but we can’t do anything. They have to suffer, on their own. And this point, those who understand, they make best use of the bad bargain. And this is the bad bargain. Srila Prabhupadasays, it is not the very comfortable position to stay in the body. And somehow or the other, we have to stay. So let us make best use of the bad bargain. And that is how we are assembled here. And if this point, you can digest very nicely. Then you can realise it, then you will not leave these things for a single second.

satataṁ kīrtayanto māṁ
yatantaś ca dṛḍha-vratāḥ

This first canto particularly, you have to remember, that the whole Bhagavatam, is meant to increase our theistic attitude and the devotional service. And eventually, pick us up from the miserable material world, and take us to the all blissful spiritual realm. That is the main use of these literatures. But there is a process to follow. There is a process to follow. And you cannot ignore the process. You cannot manufacture the process. The process is already given.

Krishna willing we shall continue to hear more nectar from Maharaj in the subsequent offering.

Hare Krishna.
Thank you very much,
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Divyarupa devi dasi
