Be in Krishna Consciousness

Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudev.

These are the few points which I could grasp in one of the Bhagavad Gita class held at Abhudhabi.

In Bhagavad Gita 18.22, Lord Krishna says:

yat tu kṛtsna-vad ekasmin kārye saktam ahaitukam
atattvārtha-vad alpaṁ ca tat tāmasam udāhṛtam

And that knowledge by which one is attached to one kind of work as the all in all, without knowledge of the truth, and which is very meager, is said to be in the mode of darkness.

When we learn something, we think it is knowledge but that is material knowledge. Real knowledge is what we get when we learn Bhagavad Gita. Our senses cannot give us spiritual knowledge. The books written by humans are not perfect as everybody makes mistakes. But Krishna does not make any mistakes. People think that wealth is the power of life. But Krishna is powerful than wealth. We can be cheated, but Krishna cannot be cheated. Due to all these wonderful qualities, the knowledge coming from Krishna through Bhagavad Gita is perfect. Simply hearing the verses is not enough. We should know the meaning.

Avidya - is material knowledge 
Vidya - is spiritual knowledge

We are conditioned souls. The world is a zoo and we are the animals. In a way, animals are better than human beings. When they eat flesh of other animals they don't get the sin. But if human beings take it they are affected. When Prabhupada went to America and saw people killing animals for flesh he told "These people are in Maya". When we are a human being, we get the chance to be Krishna conscious. Instead of being conscious of our body, we should be conscious of our soul. We should learn things and share them with others.

Three modes of nature are:
* Mode of goodness 
* Mode of passion 
* Mode of ignorance 

Morning is mode of goodness. Afternoon is mode of passion. Night is mode of ignorance. So in the morning we are like a lamb. At school we behave like lion and fight with our friends. We should try to be in mode of goodness. We should see Krishna in everybody. A devotee needs knowledge and detatchment. When we are in trouble, we should just chant. If we chant with feelings, Krishna will come to us and we will be peaceful. If we forget Krishna, Maya will come to us. We don't need to call Maya. Maya will come immediately, the moment we forget Krishna.
