Govinda

Dear Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudev.

Hare Krishna. This is verse from Srimad Bhaghavad Gita verse 2.9

sañjaya uvāca
evam uktvā hṛṣīkeśaṁ guḍākeśaḥ paran-tapaḥ
na yotsya iti govindam uktvā tūṣṇīṁ babhūva ha

Sañjaya said: Having spoken thus, Arjuna, chastiser of enemies, told Kṛṣṇa, “Govinda, I shall not fight,” and fell silent.

In the previous verses, we see that Arjuna says "oh this is drying up my senses, my mouth is drying up (verses 1.28,2.8) etc.

Govinda means  "A Person Who gives pleasure to the senses" - Krishna. And now we see that Arjuna's senses are numb. So Govinda (the giver of pleasure to senses) is going to enliven the senses of Arjuna.

Thank you very much.
Your humble servant,
Karthik
