To prove that the words of his own real servant is true and to prove that he's all pervasive pervading the sentients and non sentients, the Lord emerged from the pillar in the midst of the assembly hall with form that is neither human nor lion which was never seen before and wonderful.
I am eternally indebted to your divine grace for giving me the shelter of your lotus feet. I can never repay this eternal debt. Whatever I try to offer will be like offering a paper flower in return for thousands of golden skyscrapers. However, there really is no comparison. In the assembly of your disciples, I am a black sheep. I lack everything that all your disciples possess. I am only an example of your unconditional, causeless mercy.
Being naturally envious he could not approach humbly to any guru. At last he met one brahmana who was by nature very humble and caring. This sudra took shelter in his ashram and started serving him, although not with full heart as this sadhu was a Brahmana as well as worshiper of Lord Vishnu. The Brahamna knew the envious nature of this sudra but being a pure Vaishnava he never saw his bad quality and always tried to convince him to give up the bad quality.
By showing mercy to all living entities (dayayā sarva-bhūteṣu), being satisfied somehow or other (santuṣṭyā), and restricting the senses from sense enjoyment (sarva-indriy-upaśāntyā), one can very quickly satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Janārdana (tuṣyaty āśu janārdanaḥ).
Tucked away in a small, cold corner of Northern Europe, just 50 miles south of Finland (homeland of Santa Claus), the country of Estonia is home to a very special Hare Krishna temple. Conveniently located in the downtown area of this capital by the sea, Tallinn, the center is the perfect base for spreading the mercy of Lord Gauranga.
The material disease is due to thinking of becoming independent of everything. But the cruel material nature does not allow one to become independent. The false attempt to become independent of the stringent laws of nature is known as material advancement of experimental knowledge.
Maharaja Pariksit had no more than seven days to live, but for others Maharaja Parikshit personally recommends that one hear Srimad-Bhagavatam regularly, nityam, always by one's own effort and with serious devotion also. That will help one to see the Lord Sri Krsna manifested in one's heart within no time.
Like the cowherd boys who witnessed wonderful pastimes of the Lord that gave them the confidence to face any dangers, we can also see the omnipotence of the Lord daily through Srimad Bhagavatam and will acquire unflinching faith towards the Lord.
Realization means you should write, every one of you, what is your realization. What for this Back to Godhead is? You write your realization, what you have realized about Krsna. That is required. It is not passive. Always you should be active.
So many days I had "finished" my sixteen rounds and felt good about it. But the fact that I did not hear the words 'krsna', 'rama' and 'hare' , has proved that I am not considering the names of Krsna as non-different from Him. In other words, I have been having an impersonal careless attitude towards the Nama-prabhu...I think, "After all they are only some names of Krsna". If only I pay personal attention to the holy name, I will be actually chanting.
The nyaayaa prasthana refers to the Brahma sutras which try to establish the absolute truth by logical analysis of sruti and smriti. Though Srimad Bhagavatam is one of the puranas and comes under the category of smritis, the vaishnava acharyas consider it as the fourth prasthana.
The Lord is more anxious to take us back into His kingdom than we can desire. Most of us do not desire at all to go back to Godhead. Only a very few men want to go back to Godhead. But anyone who desires to go back to Godhead, Sri Krsna helps in all respects
Attachment for material things is called material consciousness, and attachment for Krsna or His devotee is called Krsna consciousness. Consciousness, therefore, is the platform of attachment. It is clearly stated here that when we simply purify the consciousness from material consciousness to Krsna consciousness, we attain liberation. Despite the statement that one should give up attachment, desirelessness is not possible for a living entity.
Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu saw the deities (Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra) get aboard their three cars. This function is called Pandu-vijaya. At that time, King Prataparudra took a broom with a golden handle and began to cleanse the road. Lord Jagannatha took permission from the goddess of fortune and then started in the car for the Gundica temple.
. A neophyte should always be careful. One should not discuss about such great devotees' apparent fall-down. Just like one should not discuss about the sun who evaporates urine from the earth; it is possible for the sun to do it, and still remain the sun, but for ordinary man if he lives in a filthy place he will be infected.
When I was away from Draupadi, she cried the words, `He Govinda!' This call for Me has put Me in her debt, and that indebtedness is gradually increasing in My heart!" This statement by Krishna gives evidence of how one can please the Supreme Lord simply by addressing Him, "He krishna! He govinda!"
