Once Sage Narada was travelling around the globe and in one place he saw a great yogi meditating on Lord Vishnu. It was a terrible summer (hotter than chennai) and he was meditating in the midst of fire. His body was thin because of the severe austerities he undertook.

Apart from this (devotional service), anything you take is only a temporary shelter. Everything else is diversion. You know, in the roads we have diversions. These diversions are only temporary paths until the main road is constructed. After that they are removed. They are not permanent.
