If you practice in your life, while you are human being, you, if you utilize your life in that way, then at the end, when you give up this body, you go back to Godhead for eternal life, eternal bliss, eternal knowledge, and live happily, without any material miseries.

Absolute Dependence - A Unique Quality of Bhakti

The last punch she gave from SB 1.9.22 is a trademark punch by Srila Prabhupada. It reminded me of a very interesting comparison that Srila Prabhupada gave once between the examples of Cat-Kitten and the Monkey/baby monkey to explain the subtle difference in consciousness between the yogis and the bhaktas.

all living entities including devotees indulge in many abominable activities to obtain fame, power, riches, followers etc. This happens due to the unlimited desires in our mind that are manifested due to its being in contact with the material nature.

The occupation may be one he is born to in society or it may have been forced on him by circumstances or he may have taken it by choice but what really matters is the spirit of sinceriety and faithfulness with which he does his life's work. Vyasa Bhagavan emphasises this great truth

So a devotee does not display any gimmicks or exhibits material powers to conquer people. He conquers and transforms them by his mercy and compassion. And this is the greatest and unique quality of a pure devotee.

    Devotees Heart !

Question: Why devotees are very light and soft-hearted ? Answer: Water is so light and soft. The lotus flower is floating in water. So it must be lighter than water. In that lotus flower, Mother Lakshmi is seated. Imagine how ligher She should be ? And Mother Lakshmi is seated in the heart of the Supreme Lord Hari. Imagine how soft His heart should be ? And the all merciful Lord is situated in the heart of pure devotees. How light and soft their heart must be ?

we are trying to satisfy our senses in so many ways, all our lives. But when we are dying, these senses can do nothing to save us. So what do we gain by satisfying them ? If we do not realize this point, then we will be utterly wasting our time in satisfying the unwanted desires of our minds and senses and we will have to feel embarrassed at some point in our lives.

How one can always think of the Lord in regard to His fame, fame, quality, etc. if one is embarrassed by thoughts of family affairs?. He gives some very practical examples like everyone in material world is full of thoughts of how to maintain his family, protect his wealth, how to keep pace with friends and relatives etc.

    Lord Nrsimhadev ki Jai

The lion is very fearsome for other animals, but its cubs are not at all afraid of the lion. The water of the sea is certainly dreadful for all living entities on the land, but within the sea even the small fish is unafraid. Why? Because the small fish has taken shelter of the big ocean.
