"Being thus fallen, I am approaching Your feet for shelter, O Lord, because although the impure can never attain Your feet, I think it is nevertheless possible by Your mercy. Only when one's material life has ceased, O lotus-naveled Lord, can one develop consciousness of You by serving Your pure devotees."
"When many people live together in one place there will undoubtedly be quarreling. And even if only two people live together there will be frivolous conversation and disagreement. Therefore, to avoid conflict, one should live alone, as we learn from the example of the bracelet of the young girl."
Yes, everyday He is coming in mangala aarati. If you sleep in mangala aarati, He stops. But if we go for mangala aarati then we can hear Him speak at that time. So please, early morning mangala arati is the auspicious time.
"Thereafter, at the auspicious time for the appearance of the Lord, the entire universe was surcharged with all the qualities of goodness, beauty and peace. The constellation Rohini appeared, as did stars like Ashvini The sun, the moon and the other stars and planets were very peaceful. All directions appeared extremely pleasing, and the beautiful stars twinkled in the cloudless sky."
"My dear King, the devotee who worships the lotus feet of the infallible Personality of Godhead with constant endeavor thus achieves unflinching devotion, detachment and experienced knowledge of the Personality of Godhead. In this way the successful devotee of the Lord achieves supreme spiritual peace."
H H Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj says that offering obeisances to the Lord has so much potency. There are times when we are not able to offer anything to the Lord. Even in such occasions, if we simply surrender whole-heartedly and offer Him dandavats, then the all merciful Lord rejuvenates our mind and senses.
Nice devotees have always very pleasing nature; and very comfortable in their own situation; they are in control of their body and, not only that, but always in control of their energies i.e. we are heir-apparent to Krishna.
Clean the temple and when you are tired, you won't have idea of sex at all. Once you are tired, then nothing is there. Clean the temple and then show me whether you are running after the girl. The girl may pass near you and you will never notice because you are tired. Because you are not working, that is why you are running after here and there. Man, every time the girl smiles and you think, "She likes me." "Arre man, she doesn't like you at all."
O learned brahmana, the transcendental activities of the Lord are all wonderful, and they appear inconceivable because even great endeavors by many learned scholars have still proved insufficient for understanding them. Even Lord Brahma (SB 10.14.2) expressed his inability to understand the Lord's potency and personal form.
Once in the gurukul of Dronacharya, there was a lesson being taught on speaking truth. Guru Drona said to all Kauravas and Pandavas, "Always speak the truth. Never tell a lie." Then he started asking each student to explain what they learned. Everybody said more or less the same thing on their turn except prince Yudhisthira. But Yudhisthira said, "I am sorry respected guru! I have not yet learned the lesson."
Taking courage from the examples of saints like King Kulasekhara and others, the devotees should not be ashamed when ordinary people disrespect them. They should be very concerned, however, that the Vaishnavas and the Supreme Lord are pleased with their behavior.
When you want to encourage someone, you ignore the faults of the person and fan the noble qualities of that person. Putana pretended to be a mother to kill Krishna, but her role play was very good. She did her homework very nicely so that Krishna should become convinced and all the Gopis and Yashoda mata could believe her. Krishna was so pleased that she pretended to be a devotee. Even if we pretend, Krishna is so kind.
Maharaj very much emphasized the word inattentiveness. This is the start of the end of our devotional service. The moment we become inattentive to the chanting of the Holy names, it is the mother of all the offences.
Whenever material problems come, we should say one thing, "It doesn't matter." This matter refers to material matter. When we say, "it matters," Maharaj says matter catches us. When you say, "it doesn't matter," that means we are not caught by this matter. The moment we are caught by matter, it becomes vicious. But if we say, "it doesn't matter", then we do not take the things that happen to us seriously
Therefore he is always alert in fear, which gradually diminishes his material association. The Supreme Personality of Godhead appeared from the womb of Devaki, and therefore Devaki symbolically represents bhakti, and Kamsa symbolically represents material fear. When a pure devotee always fears material association, his real position of bhakti is manifested, and he naturally becomes uninterested in material enjoyment. When the six sons of Marici are killed by such fear and one is freed from material contamination, within the womb of bhakti the Supreme Personality of Godhead appears."
He said that we should pray that we should never leave Srimad Bhagavatam. That's it. Vibration of Vedic hymns simply means study of Srimad Bhagavatam and Srimad Bhagavad Gita and the chanting of the Holy names of the Lord. Between these two, Krishna is wandering. adrshta rupo vicarasi uru svanah (SB 5.18.26). Maharaj very much liked this verse. Krishna cannot be seen, but He is wandering through all the Vedic hymns of Bhagavatam and Bhagavad Gita. It is a beautiful expression of Krishna.
Brahmaji prays, "Let me have the introspection to create." Maharaj said introspection means, 'let me look inward at my faults and not look outward at other people's faults.' That is how he starts. We always look to solve our problems outward.
"A sincere devotee, after his initiation by the Lord or His bona fide representative, takes very seriously chanting of the glories of the Lord and traveling all over the world so that others may also hear the glories of the Lord. Such devotees have no desire for material gain.
Lord here addresses Akrura most affectionately as, "My dear gentle uncle". This shows the exalted position of Akrura. Verse 10.39.6 of Srimad Bhagavatam which is spoken by the Master of the Universe, Lord Krishna is most touching and appropriate to His nature. Lord says, "Just see how much suffering I have caused My offenseless parents! Because of Me their sons were killed and they themselves imprisoned."
