Maya is nothing else. But when we feel that, "I have to be served", then that is maya. When we think that, "I have to serve", then we are out of maya. That is what austerity means. Isn't it? Austerity means to always serve
Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances! All Glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudev!
This is in continuation of the previous offering titled, "Relationship with Krishna" wherein we were hearing the nectarean Bhagavatam class given by our beloved spiritual master H H Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj on verse 3.16.7, in Singapore on 1st January 2002. In previous offering we heard from Maharaj how we must be with Bhagavatam. Now let us continue to hear further.
Because I am the servitor of My devotees, My lotus feet have become so sacred that they immediately wipe out all sin, and I have acquired such a disposition that the goddess of fortune does not leave Me, even though I have no attachment for her and others praise her beauty and observe sacred vows to secure from her even a slight favor."
Every living entity has a special relationship with Krishna and it depends upon how deep the relationship you have and it mainfests through the mouth. So don't think that, "somebody has intimate relationship and I don't have any." No. But the efforts are less. That is the thing. Please, please, please, you should NEVER leave Bhagavatam. Never. As soon as you have one minute, you just open your notebook or whatever you have. May be from Bhagavad Gita also, you can study the Bhagavatam verses mentioned there. But don't leave Bhagavatam even for a single second. That is the way to develop intimate relationship with Krishna, because Bhagavatam is non-different from Him, equally like how Bhagavad Gita is not different from Him.
Intimacy kills our devotional service. We should have friendly relations with everyone and friendly relations means we serve each other with our spiritual master and Krishna in the center. Then the relationship is peaceful
No one is the cause for our happiness and distress. Only a foolish person thinks that the miseries are given by others. We always enjoy happiness or distress based on our previous karma. So as long as one is embodied, he has to patiently tolerate the results of his past karma and by this way he can get rid of it
A devotee knows that so-called punishment by the Supreme Personality of Godhead is only His favor to correct His devotee and bring him to the right path. Therefore the punishment awarded by the Supreme Personality of Godhead cannot be compared to even the greatest benefit awarded by one's material father, mother, brother or friend
Please somehow or the other we pray very intensely to Krishna and Balaram that both of Them continuously play in the courtyard of our mind and They completely capture our mind, so that our mind will not run hither and thither.
These pastimes are in front of us and these are meant for the devotees. Krishna wants to attract the attention of the devotees and because of this, He is doing all these things. Somehow or the other be with Krishna. The name of Krishna has the potency to stop our birth and death.
Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.
This is in continuation of the transcription of the nectarean class given by our beloved spiritual master H H Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj in Belgium on Srimad Bhagavatam verse 10.8.21, on 26th July 1997. In the previous offering we heard 7 points.
If we don't introduce the good traditions in our houses, then some other tradition will creep in. We must have some traditions. Instead of acquiring any tradition, we should have these traditions in our houses
You are the reservoir of all the energies. If You are merciful to me, then my vaacaa will vibrate and give very suitable description of Your own lila. Otherwise I don't have any capacity at all." This is the humility we must have. By thinking that, "I know everything", you cannot describe anything. This is the main point and that is why we have to become very humble like Dhruva Maharaj.
