arada Muni informs Maharaj Yudhishthira about how his uncles and aunt have traveled to Himalayan mountains and how Dhrtarashtra would be performing austerities and leaving the body, by burning himself by the power of yogic fire...
Krishna is omnipresent. He is all pervading - present within the hearts of all people - those who are favourable to us, as well as those who are not favourable to us. He is also present outside of everything.
The phrase "Closing all accounts in the material world" is worth meditating. Without closing the accounts, if we leave the house and go to the forest, then that renunciation will not last long as our thoughts will always be on the open accounts.
Dhrtarashtra had suffered the effects of his own misdeeds by the will of the Lord, but Maharaja Yudhishthira was thinking only of his own unavoidable misdeeds. That is the nature of a good man and devotee of the Lord.
Throughout his life he was ill-treated by the Kauravas. Now that the Pandavas were in rule, he would have definitely been well-received and respected in the Kuru assembly. But Vidura was not after any honour, position or power. As soon as Dhrtarashtra left, Vidura also left the palace.
Now by the arrangement of Supreme Lord, all his sons were killed and Vidura wanted to make the best use of this opportunity to give him the final dose of transcendental knowledge.
