Gopi has very nice definition. gaubhiḥ bhakti rasam pibati iti gopi. gau means senses - with all our senses, gaubhiḥ bhakri rasam - the nectarean juice of devotional service - one who drinks this juice is gopi
May Sri Yamuna, who is the daughter of Suryadeva, who saves one from having to enter the city of her brother Yamaraja, the sight of whom enables the most sinful persons to cross the ocean of sin, and the sweetness of whose water charms the hearts of everyone, always purify me.
One should also concentrate on the nice garland on the neck of the Lord, which is always surrounded by bumblebees, with their nice buzzing sound, and one should meditate upon the pearl necklace on the Lord’s neck, which is considered to represent the pure living entities who are always engaged in His service.
She met people on the way. Some of them discouraged her. Some of them applauded her. But she didn’t care. Her mind was set on the temple and her Lord Guruvayoourappa and with single-minded focus she went on.
Lord Caitanya says that the constitutional position of a living entity is to render service to the Lord. That is real mukti. When one is situated in his original position, giving up artificial positions, he called mukta, or liberated.
Just like how Krishna assured Kaliya that Garuda will not disturb him when he sees Krishna's footsteps on Kaliya's head, similarly we will also be saved from all miseries when we wear tilaka on our forehead.
I am fallen into the deep, dark well of material life, which is full of illusion and blind ignorance, and I am tormented by sensual existence. O my Lord, Viṣṇu, Govinda, Dāmodara, Mādhava, please grant me Your supporting hand to uplift me.
Krishna's eyes are the source of all opulence because by His merciful glance He bestows upon us all inspiration to perform our services.By His glance He has created all the universes, so how powerful they must be?
There is a saying in Tamil which describes, “the beauty of your mind is visible on your face.” Lord Krishna’s face is so beautiful because His face is the epitome of purity, and He is always our eternal well-wisher.
All the required functions and activities of a chanter are included in his service to the holy name. We can achieve all perfection simply by chanting Krsna’s name. If we wish to develop a taste for chanting, we should hear and study scripture and cultivate Krsna consciousness.
To dovetail our will with the Lord’s will is called saranagati, surrender. Surrender means peaceful life. All material objects are favorable for Krsna’s pastimes, but if instead of offering material objects to Him we use them to seek our own happiness in this world, we will forget Him. Hence the merciful Lord has created this material world to test us.
The spiritual master and Krsna are attached to one another in love; and both treat one another as more dear to them than their own lives. They are one. The spiritual master is the personification of devotional service to Krsna, and Krsna is the personification of devotional service to the devotee.
We should see this material world and everything in it as full of ingredients for the Lord’s service. Everything in this world is meant for Krsna’s service. The day when we can look at the world like this and become liberated from the material conception, we will be able to see the material world as the spiritual world, Goloka.
I have not made anyone my disciple. Those who are considered my disciples by others are actually my spiritual masters. To associate with others means to accept something from them. I do not accept anything from anyone except that which I received from my spiritual master.
Service to the spiritual master is a disciple’s life, ornament, and means of survival. Disciples do not know anything except their spiritual master. They always think of their spiritual master while eating, sleeping, dreaming, and serving. They are fully convinced that the spiritual master is the fully independent Personality of Godhead.
We should live only to be counted among the followers of he, the spiritual master, whose mercy has allowed us to understand the ultimate goal of life, to attain love of God. Otherwise, it is better to die thousands of times.
