Dear Prabhujis and Mathajis,

Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble pranams! All Glories to Srila Prabhupada and Gurudev!

Wish you all a very happy Gaura-Purnima! Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu ki jai!!

I am summarizing herewith the nectarean instructions given by H.H. Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj during his brief stay in Abudhabi.

1. In our practical life there are two flows. They are

a) Spiritual flow
b) Material flow

a) Spiritual flow : These are the devotional activities carried on by us in our life. This spiritual flow is thoroughly purified by the influence of Srila Prabhupada who is a pure devotee of the Lord.

b) Material flow: These are the activities of sense gratification carried on by us. This goes on automatically according to our own efforts backed by destiny. This may result in either enjoyment or suffering, sometimes a very comfortable situation and sometimes not a comfortable situation. As time passes we must increase the spiritual flow and reduce to the minimum the material flow.

2.The best way to increase the Spiritual flow:
The best way to increase the spiritual flow is PERSISTENT CHANTING of the transcendental sound vibration. In order to carry on this and to fix ourselves up in this without any tinge of doubt, we have to hammer into our minds the following two phrases from the purport of Srila Prabhupada to Srimad Bhagavatham verse 1.6.25,

a)That the Personality of Godhead was not seen but only heard DOES NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.
b)Similarly, the Bhagavad gita is the sound representation of the Lord and THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN IDENTITY.

3.Effects of persistent chanting:
The following immediate effects can be seen by all of us.

a) No unnecessary stuffing into the stomach. As soon as we start chanting persistently we stop converting the stomach into a godown and thus unknowingly chronic diseases are driven away. Even the food, which helps us in the beginning of our life, becomes poisonous later and hence we have to minimise our intake. Practically we could see that on that day of Ekadasi we were persistently chanting all the 700 verses from Bahgavad Gita along with Maharaj and thus we had no feeling of hunger.

b) Medicine for the disease of material existence(Bhavaushadi): Persistent chanting is the Bhavaushadi . As mentioned in Mukunda mala stotra,"This body's beauty is fleeting, and at last the body must succumb to death after its hundreds of joints have stiffenend with oldage. So why, bewildered fool, are you asking for medication? Just take the Krishna elixir, the one cure that never fails."

c)No arguments and counter arguments: In a house where there is persistent chanting of SrimadBhagavatham or Bhagavad gita there is no place for any other mundane sound and the entire atmosphere becomes peaceful.

4.Exciting the spiritual existence: The pure spiritual existence is excited by means of

a) Cognition (Knowledge based on scriptures) - Srila Prabhupada has left for us immense spiritual paraphernalia in the form of books, lectures, tapes, conversations etc.

b) Service (Bhakti) - With the above, superexcellent unalloyed devotion characterized by love for Godhead is awakened towards Krishna.

5.Spiritual experience is not cheap: The highest devotion is attained by slow degrees by constant endeavour. It requires austerity. We should be merciful to others but never merciful to ourselves. There is no point in adjustment and compromise. Srila Prabhupada demands the highest standards. We have to be a SAGE in the real sense of the term. (S- Simple and straightforward; A-Austere; G-Grave/sober; E-Energetic)

6. Sadaachaar (Theistic conduct): We have to change and improve our behaviour practically. There should be a behavior to behavior transfer to the younger generation and not mouth to mouth transfer. The younger generation should see us performing unflinching devotional service.

7.Take shelter of Prabhupada and never be rejected: . Srila Prabhupada had nothing to gain from us and thus without any selfish interest. Srila Prabhupada is causelessly merciful to us and all the words coming out of his pen are completely pure and the words are exactly appropriate. Anybody having a selfish interest is cheating himself and is cheating others. He is cheating himself because he is away from the goal of his existence. We should be very clear to come to the shelter of a person who can guide us to the ultimate goal of existence unequivocally. Otherwise everywhere else there is a danger of misguidance. Our ultimate aim is "prema pumartho mahan"- In the end, love of Godhead must be awakened. Any other path or any other person who does not purify this spiritual flow in our life is verily condemned by Srimad Bhagavatam.

If we face any difficulty in life, our thoughts become completely preoccupied with the difficulties and we keep on talking of them. Srila Prabhupada underwent innumerable difficulties to establish the movement but we find that in his writings there is not even a mention of them and his writings are full of Krishna. We have to be fixed in that - "I have caught the dhoti of Prabhupada. This is enough for me." Only this will will improve our behaviour. Improved behaviour leads to improved health. Improved health leads to improved effulgence in us.

The legacy of Srila Prabhupada must continue and we have to become serious in our spiritual flow. Then we will be put on the royal road to perfection. If we come to the shelter of Srila Prabhupada we will never be rejected.

Yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada,
