Minneapolis Rath Yatra

Dear Prabhujis and Matajis,
Hare Krsna. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudev.

His Grace Kalacakra prabhu recently posted a detailed and blissful e-mail regarding the first Ratha-yatra held in the twin-cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, USA. We will address this subject a little later in this e-mail.

First, a little prelude..

The residents of the twin-cities are honored by the blessed presence of His Holiness Mahavishnu Goswami maharajas top-notch disciples. His Grace Purnendu Krishna prabhu and Her Grace Anasuya mataji  both are disciples of  His Holiness Mahavishnu Goswami maharaja  welcome all to their sacred ashram with open arms. His Grace Kalacakra prabhu tirelessly carries out the missionary task of spreading the Lords message. Nearly six months in a year, this city has physically harsh weather condition. Disregarding the obstacles from weather, bigotry, maya, asuras, and other impediments, these gentle souls carry on the task of spreading the Lords holy names, and ask for absolutely nothing in return. His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada used to say that the tree is known by its fruit. This is probably the finest batch of nectarean fruit produced by His Holiness Mahavishnu Goswami maharaja.

Now, getting back to HG Kalacakra Prabhu's email regarding the Rath-yatra.

HG Kalacakra Prabhu humbly states in the e-mail, having done the least amount of service, I had a lot of time observing the devotees untiringly serving the Lord in so many ways

The statement needs modification. Anand Prabhus enthusiasm was the catalyst for this first Rath-yatra in this metropolitan area, however, the deities of Their Lordships, Jagannath, Baladeva, and Subhadra, landed in the twin-cities because of the untiring efforts by His Grace Kalacakra prabhu and his wife, Abhirami mataji. His Grace Kalacakra prabhu humbly omits this remarkable contribution, but one must give respect where it is due.

One can understand Me as I am, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, only by devotional service. And when one is in full consciousness of Me by such devotion, he can enter into the kingdom of God. (Bg18.55). The twin-cities congregation is grateful to His Grace Kalacakra Prabhu and Abhirami Mataji for their noteworthy devotional service.

Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudev,
Bhakta Suk Shah
