Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

In the previous offering, we saw about the opulence possessed by us and the Supreme Lord. When we fully realize these opulences of the Lord, we will develop great love for Him. As a by-product of this love for the Lord, our sinful tendencies are destroyed and we become sane in our behavior and become properly situated in bhagavata dharma by the Lord' grace. And all our sinful tendencies are destroyed. This is nicely described in the Shruti mantras (Svetasvatara Up-6.6) as follows:

dharmaavaham paapa-nudam bhagesham
jnaatvaatma-stham amrtam vishva-dhaama

The Bhagavata Purana(5.17.18) also echoes this point as follows:

bhaje bhajanyāraṇa-pāda-paṅkajaṁ
bhagasya kṛtsnasya paraṁ parāyaṇam
bhakteṣv alaṁ bhāvita-bhūta-bhāvanaṁ
bhavāpahaṁ tvā bhava-bhāvam īśvaram

O my Lord, You are the only worshipable person, for You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the reservoir of all opulences. Your secure lotus feet are the only source of protection for all Your devotees, whom You satisfy by manifesting Yourself in various forms. O my Lord, You deliver Your devotees from the clutches of material existence. Non-devotees, however, remain entangled in material existence by Your will. Kindly accept me as Your eternal servant.

However this is not an easy task because the Lord reveals His opulences only by His grace and His grace is possible to earn only by the grace of His devotees. When we are blessed with the grace of His pure devotees, the Lord will reveal His full glory no matter how lowly we are and we can attain pure love for the Lord. This was demonstrated in an incident in the life of Sri Vallabhacharya. Vallabhacharya is known for establishing a very opulent worship of Sri Nathji and the deity was located in Vrindavan at that time. He appointed eight of His prominent disciples known as ashta chap and arranged for 8 times worship a day with rich offerings accompanied by kirtans. One of the eight disciples was named Krishna Dasa. Krishna Dasa used to visit Mathura regularly to buy things for the Lord's worship. One day in Mathura while passing across a house, he heard a very sweet voice singing. He went to that place and he saw a beautiful woman singing in a sweet voice and she was also dancing in front of few rich people. Her dance movements were very attractive. She was a prostitute by profession and made her livelihood by entertaining rich persons in this way and satisfying their desires.

Krishna Dasa thought that it would very good if she dances and sings for the pleasure of Sri Nathaji and he asked that woman, "Can you please come with me and dance for my master?" She thought that Krishna Dasa is some secretary or manager for a rich man and told him,"See, I will not dance in front of anyone and everyone for money. First tell me if your master is beautiful. But that is not sufficient. Sometimes I get customers who are beautiful but they don't have money. Your master should be rich and also he should be young and strong. Only then I will come and satisfy him." Krishna Dasa said, "My master is eternal youth. He never ages. And as for as riches are concerned, even Lord Indra and Kuvera's wealth are supplied by Him alone. As for as beauty is concerned, even great stalwarts like sages and Lord Shiva who are free from material lust also run after His beauty. So please come and dance for Him". Still that girl thought the master of Krishna Dasa is a beautiful rich person and he is exaggerating his qualities. Krishna Dasa arranged for a palanquin to carry her to Sri Nathji temple and took her near the altar. Then also the lady thought that His master is somewhere in the temple taking darshan. Krishna Dasa ordered the screen of the altar to be opened.  Krishna Dasa prayed to the Lord to reveal His full opulence to this lady, purify her and engage her in His service. The Lord responded to the prayer of Krishna Dasa and revealed His complete opulence to her in the deity form.

The lady was awe struck by the beauty and opulence of Sri Nathji. She became purified. Now Krishna Dasa said, "He is my master I was talking about. Now dance!!!!" and he called for the musicians in the temple to play instruments. The prostitute lady sang a beautiful song with the meaning "O Lord of the universe, now that you have revealed your full glory and opulence and blessed me with the knowledge that I am your eternal servant. From now on I will not dance in front of everyone. My beauty, my voice, my dance, my body and mind everything is Yours". Then she danced beautifully with all her energy and finally collapsed in front of Sri Nathji and left her body seeing the all-opulent Sri Nathji. She attained the lotus feet of the Lord by the grace of Krishna Dasa who was a pure devotee of the Lord.

This is a real example of how the Lord's opulences can purify us and lead to His lotus feet.

Let us all pray at the lotus feet of our spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada so that we will gain attraction towards the Lord's opulences.

Thank you very much.
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Narahari Krishna das
