Feel the Pain of Others - Part 5

Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

This is in continuation of the previous offering titled, "Feel the Pain of Others", which is a transcription of class given by HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj in Minneapolis. In the previous offering we heard from Maharaj the below points:

1) We must always remember Krishna
2) Feel other's pain and help them.

Maharaj very nicely explained as to how source of income is not the source of maintenance. Now we shall hear further.

3) Source of maintenance is Krishna: "You people are staying in America. Does dollar help you to circulate the blood? Who is doing that? (Devotees reply: Supersoul - Krishna) Eventually you come to Krishna. Source of maintenance is transcendence - Supreme Absolute Truth. Income we may arrange. But with all the heavy income, all the exhaustive income, people die. That is our experience. Where are all the Presidents? They die. Abraham Lincoln is gone. And after him also train of Presidents have vanished. And those who are at the moment here, they are also going to vanish. So source of income and source of maintenance, they are completely different. And as soon as you understand this, you will develop the merciful attitude. You always expect the mercy from Krishna. Please, Krishna will only be merciful, if you are merciful to somebody else. Otherwise don't hope for the mercy at all. Everywhere benevolent attitude should be there. Those who follow this path, they will get everything possible and that is how we should always change our life for good and forget about these narrow feelings.

Very easy for me to tell. But very difficult to put into practice. But we have to do it. And for that thing only we are coming to the Transcendental Absolute Truth. One thing we should remember - ābrahma sthambha paryantam - from the most powerful living entity, Lord Brahma (great, great grandfather) to the small ant, all are illusory. They are not permanent. America is the best country. But do you think that you will survive all the time? (Maharaj asked this question to each of the assembled devotees) Can you stay here eternally? No. You have to go. Who will take care of your dollars? (laughter) We may have so many riches, we may have so many houses. What is the use of it? It is momentary. You have to leave and go. Nobody has taken their house along with them. So many millions of houses are there. And everyone is dying. Have you seen the houses going with them? If that had been the case, today we would have been difficulty.(laughter) Where will we go and stay? Where will we eat our food? Please, please it is all temporary."

Krishna willing we shall continue to hear more nectar from Maharaj in the subsequent offering.

Hare Krishna.

Thank you very much.
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Sudarshana devi dasi.
