No Counteraction is the Best Counteraction - Part 2

Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

This is in continuation of the previous offering titled, "No Counteraction is the Best Counteraction" which is transcription of the nectarean class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj on Srimad Bhagavatam verse 7.6.2 in Sri Sri Radha NeelMadhav dham, Rajkot. In the previous offering we heard from Maharaj that

1. No Retaliation is Best Retaliation.

Now we shall hear further.

2. No Counteraction Saves Time:
Gurudev: If somebody comes and beats us then we can catch his hand. But some one talks about us what can we do? (Gurudev laughs). We have to bear with that. So the Bhagavatam says that you should be kind to him. That is how (it should be). Otherwise how many enemies you are going to create? Our own persons will be our enemies. Our children will be our enemies. Our children will be really our enemies. What to talk of others? See this Kaliyuga is very powerful that dissension is the social intercourse. We are also socially connected to our children. They are now grown up, but social intercourse is there. Then there will always be dissension. So this dissension has got to be avoided. And this is the practical way to put Bhagavatam into our life. Unless you train your life for good according to Bhagavat principles, you will never be devotee at all. In order to be devotees we must add these values into our life. This is the best practice. No counteraction is the best counteraction. (Gurudev laughs).

They may do, they may talk anything. Eventually they are going to be fed up. And because we don't criticize, so we have so much time at our disposal. We don't concoct. Man! (referring to one devotee Maharaj says) He rang me from Abhudhabi when can he come. And now I didn't know even that he was coming today. (In joking manner Mahara says) Fed up! We didn’t have chain to remove. (Gurudev laughs). I thought he is coming (few weeks later). And to my surprise he is here. So instead of criticising him in my mind also, I thought, "it is alright. He wanted to come. I wanted him to come, but he is here, that's it." Even if I didn't want him here, that's what I thought (Gurudev and devotees laugh). This is Bhagavatam.

Otherwise dissension is there. bhūtānāṁ yan mithaḥ kaliḥ - This is the meaning. bhūtānāṁ yan mithaḥ kaliḥ. That is because we don't know that manye tvāṁ kālam īśānam. We don't know that, "You are the eternal time. And You are controlling ourselves, everybody in the material world by the force of time. And anādi-nidhanaṁ - (SB 1.8.28) there is no beginning. You are the end of everything. vibhum, You are the greatest." And this is Kunti Maharani speaking. How nice you know. samaṁ carantaṁ sarvatra, we should see to that we are equally behaving with everybody.

So this is the Vedic standard. Whether he criticizes or what we don't know, but he is good. That's it. Vedic standard we show and we try to put into our practical behaviour - the Vedic standards.

Krishna wiilling we shall continue to hear more nectar from Maharaj in the subsequent offering.

Hare Krishna.
Thank you very much.
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Krishna Rati devi dasi
