No Counteraction is the Best Counteraction - Part 6

Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

This is in continuation of the previous offering titled, "No Counteraction is the Best Counteraction" which is transcription of the nectarean class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj on Srimad Bhagavatam verse 7.6.2 in Sri Sri Radha NeelMadhav dham, Rajkot. In the previous offering we heard from Maharaj that

1. No Retaliation is Best Retaliation.
2. No Counteraction Saves Time.
3. Obedience attracts Krishna.
4. Be Ready for Everything
5. Be Thankful to Krishna.

Now we shall hear further.
 6. Be Satisfied:
Gurudev: (Maharaj quoted a nice Sanskrit subhashita)

santoṣa amrt trptānām,  yat sukham  śānta cetasām
kutas tad dhana lubdhānām itashchetashcha dhāvatām

santoa amrt trptānām,  yat sukham, if you have nectarean santoa, satisfaction with you, then yat sukham, that is real happiness. śānta cetasām, your mind will be completely peaceful. kutas tad dhana lubdhānām kutas tad dhana lubdhānām itashchetashcha dhāvatām, (Gurudev laughs). dhāvatām, dhāvatām means running. Those who are greedy they run for dhan hither and thither (Gurudev laughs). And even then, they will get the same thing as destined by Kṛṣṇa. So they can't get more.

And there was a Marwardi in our (town). He was our friend. He was coming to school with us. His name was Vamsi you know. So Vamsi was not successful at all in any business. That was his qualification. Vamsi used to always run here and there, here and there. What happened then, at last he opened a bicycle shop. So he had bought some ten bicycles, never paid the money at all. (Gurudev laughs). And he was repairing the bicycles and renting you know.
In our country bicycle shop, they will give bicycles for rent. He was renting. So something was going on, something. Vamsi was very happy, always (wearing) half dhoti, and sitting under the bicycle looking here and looking there, and fixing this and that.

One day in the afternoon he was called by the richest Marwardi in the town. So he went there, he thought that some bicycle must have got wrong (Gurudev laughs) he wants to repair it. Then he said that, "I am adopting you." Within a day Vamsi became Vamsi seth (Gurudev laughs). And even now he is there.

So this is how whatever is destined you will get. In sleep also He will bring you, if you are destined. If you have not done, how much you can?  Whether you collect, just with thousand hands, if He gives or takes with thousand hands how much can you hold with two hands? And if He gives you with thousand hands, how much you can collect with two hands? So our endeavours are really, really not very useful. But we have to carry on, don't try to sleep. But the fact is whatever you are destined you are going to get it. So these values, please try to put as much as possible into practice. And then you will be very (peaceful). At least satisfaction must be there. Whatever my position is I am satisfied.

Krishna willing we shall continue to hear more nectar from Maharaj in the subsequent offering.

Hare Krishna.
Thank you very much.
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Krishna Rati devi dasi
