No Counteraction is the Best Counteraction - Part 9

Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

This is in continuation of the previous offering titled, "No Counteraction is the Best Counteraction" which is transcription of the nectarean class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj on Srimad Bhagavatam verse 7.6.2 in Sri Sri Radha NeelMadhav dham, Rajkot. In the previous offering we heard from Maharaj that we must have good tendencies. Now we shall hear further.

 Be Obedient:
Gurudev: This Nara Narayana rshi was the super most human being. Why? Because the austerities were performed by Him. Even now if you go to Badrikashram, you can sense that austerity atmosphere there. It's on the top and we feel like something different. Even now this is happening. The life full of austerity is the best. And where we see austere life, we pay obeisances. Man! (Referring to one devotee Gurudev says) He did not do anything, he just distributed prasadam. So even now people are obeying him and people are following his instructions. That is krtajna. Nobody shouts at him. Why? Because he followed the Vedic culture. So we are indebted to him.

All these saints and sages, they may have some defects here and there. But they have some Vedic culture. So our people are attracted to them. There is something, some transcendence is there. And those who are fully transcendental, their respect is more. So this is how we are, we are grateful to anybody and everybody. So eventually people will be grateful to you. That is the secret of it. If you are not grateful, then how can you demand the gratefulness. If you are grateful, then we will get. Those who obey, they can only command. Because he knows how to obey. So he has the power to command. And obedience comes first. And that's why obedience is only there, if humility is there. Humility must be there isn't it? Otherwise you will never obey, never obey.

If there is no humility, then always your ego will come out. And because of the egoistic attitude, you will never go on with anything. Then bhūtānāṁ yan mithaḥ kaliḥ, he says. In the end it is horrible dissension. Always there is some friction. And when there is friction, destruction is there. Friction means destruction. Man, in the wheels that are running in the car, if the grease is not there, or if it is not rubbing against something, we have to be very careful about it. Otherwise the wheels may be destroyed or the accelerator may be destroyed. We do not really, we cannot ignore, ignore friction. And friction should never be there. If friction is there then the destruction is there. So we don't want that destruction. So if we don't want destruction then obedience must be there. Otherwise not to obey means destruction

Krishna willing we shall continue to hear more nectar from Maharaj in the subsequent offering.

Hare Krishna.
Thank you very much.
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Krishna Rati devi dasi
