Attach to Krishna and Be Peaceful - Part 3

Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

This is in continuation of the transcription of the nectarean class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj on Srimad Bhagavatam verse 1.18.30. In the previous offering we heard from Maharaj as to how we can see Krishna in the taste of water, sunshine, moonshine and omkar. Now we shall hear further.

4. Seeing Krishna in sound:
Gurudev: Then after praṇavaḥ sarva-vedeṣu, sabda khe—in the ether I am the sound He says, and sound is the main root of all creation. Because by the transcendental sound of Krishna, the whole material manifestation comes into existence. Because of the sound, we are put into this material existence. In our body also, 24 hours a day, since we are born, before we are born, when we were 3 months old, our embryo was in the mothers womb, our heart started beating. And that beat has a sound. If you keep your fingers on your pulse, you will see that sound. Or if you close your ears, then you hear the factory going on inside. Inside is a great factory. So much blood is being pumped out every second of our existence. So much blood is collected and distributed to the limbs. Then the food is digested. Different species are created. They are supplied to the limbs. The whole factory is going on. This body is a big complicated machine. In our brain alone, there are millions of nerves, which are thinner than hair. How long does it take to cut one nerve and as soon as one nerve is burst in the brain, then the whole brain is covered with blood. And as soon as the brain is covered with the blood, the brain is the controlling point of the whole body.  So as soon as it is filled with blood, you loose the control of the body and you die. They call it meningitis. Any stress on our brain, any worry, any envy of other people, they creat a danger of getting this brain cut.

And that’s why the Bhagavad Gita or Srimad Bhagavatam advices that in the practical life we should never be angry at each other. If you become angry, may be the man or woman to whom you are angry may not suffer, but you are in a danger of cutting your nerves. So never get upset, never get agitated. No agitation—very peaceful. Very peaceful. Nothing is in our hands. Everything is in the hand of Krishna and the more peaceful you are, the more you will be happy. Otherwise you create the agitation and you suffer more than the others. And this is how we come to the scriptures. Never insult anyone. All the relations should be very amicable. People are bound to create or inflict misery on you, because we are all envious of each other and because we are envious of each other, they all—everybody, all—everybody except yourself,  we belong to one species. And there are 8 million 400 thousand species. All other species try to inflict misery on you. So how can you ward it off? You have to tolerate and don’t get agitated at all. These are the instruction of the scriptures so that your health will be alright.

We are really surprised after reading all the scriptures about our own body, it is very difficult to understand that how the soul stays in this body for 70 years or 80 or 90 years. It should not stay for a single second because this body is not his existence. But even then, this existence we have got and in order to understand this, in order to understand this point we must go to the person who knows about these things. And that is oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya. oṁ ajñāna we are all ignorant of these things. ajñāna, we don't have any jñāna. Don't have any knowledge about the real situation of our own body, of our own soul. We don't have any situation, we don't have any knowledge what was before we came to this world. We don't have any knowledge about what is going to happen after we go away. And this ignorance has got to be dissipated.

Krishna willing, we can hear more nectar from Maharaj in the subsequent offering.

Thank you very much.
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Purna Prajna das
