Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.
This is in continuation of the transcription of one of the nectarean class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj on Bhagavad Gita verses 2.62-63 in Auckland, Newzealand in the year 1995. In the previous offering we heard from Maharaj,
1. Bhakti purifies our life.
2. Wind up from illusory energy.
3. Purify your tendencies.
4. Understand your position
Now let's hear further nectar from Maharaj.
5. Hold onto lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada:
Maharaj: We don’t run after the bodily things and we have our own bodily enjoyments even then. In spiritual matters also, the bodily enjoyments are not absent, but they are, they are on a certain track, chalked out by the religion, by Krishna. That this is the way you have to enjoy. And to this extent only you have to enjoy and this is how Krishna is connected to our life directly and indirectly. Directly He gives us the suggestions through the heart. He is situated in our heart and indirectly He supports and He fulfils all our desires within the limits and if you chalk out your life within the limit, then the stages are very clear and eventually you go to the inconceivable heights in your spiritual attainments.
This is eventually our goal to attend the immense heights which are unlimited. ānandāmbudhi-vardhanaṁ (Śrī Śikṣāṣṭakam Text 1) always it goes on increasing and prati-padaṁ pūrṇāmṛtāsvādanaṁ, pratipadam, on every step; pūrṇām-complete, amrtam-nectar, āsvādanaṁ - we taste and as soon as you start tasting the nectar, your figure changes completely. it’s the best thing happens to the spiritually interested people. As soon as you come to Prabhupada’s program, this is his mercy. otherwise who can give a big place? Who can help us to come here and be selected by Krishna? As you are already here, please don't forget your prime duty to spiritually progress in this highly conscious, spiritually conscious form. It is best, but it is going to end. So before it ends, tūrṇaṁ yateta na pated anu-mṛtyu yāvan (Srimad Bhagavatam 11.9.29); tūrṇaṁ yateta - immediately yatet prayatna, yatet - immediately try to get out of these things. These things we have done since time immemorial and how to get out, what are the impediments are described in these two verses.
When you come to Bhagavad Gita, Prabhupada very lovingly guides you. Each word is translated, nice translations are given, nice purports are given. Nothing is lacking. And then again this preaching assemblies are there. In no other temple, in no other way - this is only Prabhupada’s monopoly. As soon as you leave this, you are completely wandering in the wilderness. There is no guide at all. Please please please remember this. There will be so many forces to drag you away from this assembly. Don’t leave this assembly. When you are forced to leave, you have to go, that’s it and get burnt or buried or whatever it is. But till we are alive, we should catch very strongly the lotus feet of Prabhupada. And not even in dream we should think that he is lacking something. No he doesn’t lack. We lack everything. He doesn’t lack anything. This is the best knowledge and it is his monopoly to attract and to completely convince us the importance of our own existence.
Krishna willing we shall hear more nectar from Maharaj in the subsequent offering.
Thank you very much.
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Govindang Krishna das
