Sanity will Give us Satisfaction - Part 8

Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

This is in continuation of the transcription of one of the nectarean class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj on Bhagavad Gita verse 3.36 in Sri Sri Radha NeelMadhav dham Rajkot on 10th May 2009. In the previous offering we heard from Maharaj that,  for our own health, we should come to the mode of goodness. And the easiest way is, to read any Prabhupada’s book

Now let us hear further.

Maharaj: Wherever this kāma is there, it destroys. At the moment, we are controlled here. In this, in this premises, we are controlled, so people come and bow down before us. They worship us really. They give us money, they talk very nicely, they speak with respect. Tomorrow, if we freak out, and take the help of kāma within a second, we will be beaten or at least, we will be driven out. All these good things will vanish from us. This is all-devouring. A little slip, here and there and you are gone, our whole sadhana, of lifetime sadhana or 10 years or 20 years or whatever just vanishes within 2 seconds. Those who were great Sanyasis, Gurus, they were uncrowned kings really. They had everything at their disposal. But as soon as they ran after these lusty desires, in the evening the kichadi was absent. What to talk about the other things? Please it is a great danger. Materially we are finished and spiritually we become bankrupted. So, don’t dream to do that. Just be clean very clean. Very clean.

BG 5.10
brahmaṇy ādhāya karmāṇi
saṅgaṁ tyaktvā karoti yaḥ
lipyate na sa pāpena
padma-patram ivāmbhasā

Very nice verse. brahmaṇy ādhāya karmāṇi, we are working for Krishna. brahmaṇy ādhāya karmāṇi and that’s why, saṅgaṁ tyaktvā karoti yaḥ, we don’t work for fruitive results, we don’t have any results. We are teaching in the school, we are paying salaries to the teachers, we don’t get anything. The fruits are completely absent. Fruits have gone to Krishna. brahmaṇy ādhāya karmāṇi saṅgaṁ tyaktvā karoti yaḥ na lipyate sa pāpenathey are not covered by sinful activities, and how, padma-patram, the leaf of the lotus flower that grows in the water, and water cannot touch it. We have to live in the society, but sinful acts do not touch us. That’s how we behave.

This is the way to behave on this planet, kurvann eveha karmāṇi jijīviṣec chataḿ samāḥ. (Isopanisad.2). kurvann eveha karmāṇi, this way if you perform karmas, without any fruitive results, then kurvann eveha karmāṇi on this planet, you behave like this and jijīviṣec, and you stay here, chataḿ samāḥ, hundreds of years. Here there is no other way, but to follow these things. That is the way to behave on his planet. The question is that then who is going to meet our responsibilities? We don’t have fruits. How will you answer this question? Somebody asks you, without fruits we have to do the work. So how to reconcile? This is our realisation. We have to think about these things and find out the practical way in between.

Krishna willing we shall hear more nectar from Maharaj in the subsequent offerings.

Thank you very much.
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudev,
Dinavatsal Krishna das
