Sanity will Give us Satisfaction - Part 11

Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

This is in continuation of the transcription of one of the nectarean class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj on Bhagavad Gita verse 3.36 in Sri Sri Radha NeelMadhav dham Rajkot on 10th May 2009. In the previous offering we heard from Maharaj that, "Sanity will give us satisfaction. Otherwise, always we will be agitated. And agitation is very bad for our health also. So, this Bhagavad Gita principles, must be studied and put into practise."

Now let us hear further.

Maharaj:

SB 10.52.33
viprān sva-lābha-santuṣṭān
sādhūn bhūta-suhṛttamān
nirahaṅkāriṇaḥ śāntān
namasye śirasāsakṛt

See, these are the qualities. Viprān, means brahmanas, those running after Krishna. sva-lābha-santuṣṭān, means whatever they gain providentially, they are completely satisfied. Satisfaction is the main clue to understand our goal of lifeIn the material world if you are satisfied, then you will come to the spiritual field. And satisfaction must be there. And never everything goes according to our desire. Never. Never ever. We have to control ourselves always. Please, try to think about these things. viprān sva-lābha-santuṣṭān, those who are satisfied. (Maharaj requesting devotee to open the door) This is the first quality. viprān sva-lābha-santuṣṭān, those who are satisfied with whatever they get after their honest endeavour, providentially they get, then they should be satisfied.

We may try honestly to increase, but we are not agitated. And then, they are sadhus, life is very simple. sādhūn bhūta-suhṛttamān, they are friendly to all living entities. suhṛd, is a very good word for friend, suhṛdhṛd, hṛdye, hṛd – the connection is between two hearts, between the friends. Friend doesn’t convey that. Friend word is not that. suhṛd is best word. We love because Krishna is situated in his heart also. So, bhūta-suhṛttamān, who sees Krishna everywhere in all living entities. Which is very difficult. Very difficult, nearly impossible. This is the condition. Those who are completely satisfied in a natural way, those who are simple in life, and those who are real well-wishers of all the living entities. And for them He says, nirahaṅkāriṇaḥ, and śāntān, again those who are completely devoid of any pride, nirahaṅkāriṇaḥ, false ego. And śāntān, peaceful. Namasye, Krishna says, I bow down, by bowing My head to these living entities.

Just one quality forces Krishna to bow down before us and that is whatever providentially is provided, we are satisfied. And when can you be satisfied? If your needs are less.

Krishna willing we shall hear more nectar from Maharaj in the subsequent offerings.

Thank you very much.
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudev,
Dinavatsal Krishna das
