Bhagavatam Gives Bliss - Part 8

Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

This is in conclusion of the transcription one of the previous offering titled, "Bhagavatam Gives Bliss" wherein we were hearing the nectarean class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj on Srimad Bhagavatam verse 11.7.10 in Sri Sri RadhaNeelMadhav dham Rajkot in December 2006. In the previous offering we heard the below points from Maharaj.

i) Humility is required for getting jnaan
ii) Lead a simple life
iii) Decrease Artificial Necessities
iv) Stick to Values of Human Life
v) Pass on culture to younger generation.
vi) Glories of cow

Now we shall continue to hear further from Maharaj.

vii) Self-realization gives satisfaction: The students here are all brilliant. This is Krishna's mercy. They come here and have darshan and they are happy. So these places must be organised in this way so that we can give the self-realisation to the younger generation. At the moment, they don't understand anything. But when they sit here in the temple, unknowingly they have the self-realisation. When you have self-realisation, then you are satisfied. And not only you are satisfied, but everybody who comes in touch with you will be satisfied. This is the way. At the moment, satisfaction is impossible. Material things will never satisfy you. They are not meant for satisfaction. They create disturbance. So far we had nice houses. Windows are open. Fresh air is coming. This is healthy environment. Our houses were very nicely ventilated. And now we have invented AC - Air conditioning.   And AC is the most sinful way.  You have to close all the fresh-air and then put the box. And through that electricity burnt air will come inside and you pay heavy bills. This is called advancement ! Actually this is not advancement. It is a killing thing. So formerly whatever peace we had, we are losing that peace by creating the artificial bills. This is so called advancement. We don't want this advancement. We want natural things. Reduce the artifical necessities. Then you will have self-realisation.

Otherwise without self-realisation, then our mind will run after material things and then misdirection is there. Our words should be regarding Krishna and they are meant to create a revolution in the impious lives of the world's misdirected civilisation. Please give the masses Krishna's names atleast. Name being all pervasive like Krishna, they are non-different from Him. Unless you understand these things and propagate God consciousness or Krishna consciousness, the disturbance is going to continue and it will increase. The way the cities are developing, we can see here in Kalawad road also - for so many miles from here, lands on both sides of the road are sold. Formerly there was farming land. And now faming has stopped completely. Not only in Rajkot, everywhere farming is stopping. We will have buildings, but we will not have rice. Soon the time will come, when we will have to stand in line for rice. What development are we after? This thing has got to be propagated. Formerly our towns were small and so shops were all in walking distance, everything in walking distance. But now walking is impossible. So bicycles were used in the beginning. Then they were replaced by motor cycles. And now motor cycle was actually "mout" cycle. (In Hindi mout means death) The company that manufactures those "mout" cycle was known as"Yamaha". That is correct name. You sit on it and you will be able to meet Yamaraj (laughter). Please we have created so nasty situation. Now trains are there, cars are there. Again we created these vicious situations. We may not be able to stop these situations. But we can have our own simple life. By simplicity we can stop our necessities. As soon as necessities are under our control, then self will manifest. At the moment we don't have time because of all these artificial necessities. So please remember these things and may Krishna help us to cultivate these habits in us and pass it on to the younger generation - somehow or the other. Jai Srila Prabhupada ki Jai !"
Hare Krishna.
Thank you very much.
Yours in service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Sudarshana devi dasi.
