Our spiritual master Srila Prabhupada has done acts which are incomparable and unimaginable. We cannot imitate him but if we try to follow in his footsteps, we will be able to realize the potency of his deeds.
The black cloud is full of water. When there is black cloud in the sky, you can be sure that the rain is going to fall down. Not the white cloud. White cloud means no water. Is it not? So you understand this philosophy and add water to the suffering humanity.
Krishna consciousness business is so nice that whatever you do sincerely, it will never be lost. Permanent. Either you execute one percent, two percent, fifty percent. If you can finish hundred percent, then next life, sure you are going to Krishna. But even if you are unable to finish the whole course, still, whatever you have done, that is permanent credit. That will never be lost.’
The tortoise can at any moment wind up his senses and exhibit them again at any time for particular purposes. Similarly, the senses of the Krishna conscious persons are used only for some particular purpose in the service of the Lord and are withdrawn otherwise
"People demand remuneration even in devotional service. This is simply illusion. What is a greater remuneration than staying personally with Sri Sri Radha-NeelMadhav ? You are staying all day at the Lotus feet of Lord Nrsimhadev, Prahlad Maharaj and serving Srila Prabhupada. Is there any greater remuneration than this ?"
Please describe the Almighty Lord's activities to mitigate the miseries of the masses of common people who are always suffering from material pangs. Indeed there is no other way to get out of such miseries."
Should there be any goal or goals in our spiritual life? Srila Prabhupada, as always, provides us with a solution. He has mentioned in his preface to the book "The Nectar of Instruction" that "A follower of the Krsna consciousness movement should become a perfect devotee".
Lord Krishna also says in another place - "yasya aham anughnami harishye tad dhanam kshanaih -To show special favor to a devotee, I take away all his material possessions". This is frightening to us who are aspiring to be His devotees especially with all the material hankerings
In other words, preaching is primarily meant for purifying ourselves. So we have to consider that we are the only non-devotee and everyone else is a devotee. If we approach in this way then we can explain the secret to everyone in this world.
why the Lord is the dearmost? Srila Prabhupada writes The real reason is clearly stated in Bhagavad-gita (15.7). mamaivāṁśo jīva-loke jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ: the living entities are eternally parts and parcels of the Supreme Lord.
So when a person is completely absorbed in the consciousness that he is the body he'll be in maximum state of fear. Out of fear he sometimes even tries to kill others when his bodily existence is threatened even to a slight degree.
"By speaking pleasing words, all the living entities are satisfied. Therefore always speak sweetly, why are you so poor in your sentences?" Let us take this advice and try to implement it in our lives. Krishna will be pleased!
So a devotee means developing all these good qualities and behave nicely towards everybody. We can see that in the lives of all the great acaryas especially Srila Rupa Goswami, Sanatana Goswami and others.
