O my dear Lord, please bless me that my death should be sudden without going through prolonged suffering. My life should not be at the mercy of others. As long as I am alive, please bless me with undeviated devotional service unto Your lotus feet

Due to this external energy, the living entity, although transcendental to the three modes of material nature, thinks of himself as a material product and thus undergoes the reactions of material miseries

The symptoms of a sadhu are that he is tolerant, merciful and friendly to all living entities. He has no enemies, he is peaceful, he abides by the scriptures, and all his characteristics are sublime

Whatever pure fame is possessed by the famous and whatever praiseworthy qualities are found in the virtuous are destroyed by even a small amount of greed, just as one's attractive physical beauty is ruined by a trace of white leprosy

Because the mind is not disturbed by that which is neither seen nor heard, the mind of a person who restricts the material senses will automatically be checked in its material activities and become pacified

when all a man's activities are dedicated to the service of the Lord, those very activities which caused his perpetual bondage become the destroyer of the tree of work

He who is satisfied with gain which comes of its own accord, who is free from duality and does not envy, who is steady in both success and failure, is never entangled, although performing actions

Maharaj was emphasizing the necessity of initiation into spiritual life. If we say we are too busy to chant, Maharaj was asking whether we are breathing or eating or not? If we can do these activities, chanting of the Holy names of the Lord is as much or even more a necessity in our lives.

Being purified by his intelligence and controlling the mind with determination, giving up the objects of sense gratification, being freed from attachment and hatred, one who lives in a secluded place, who eats little, who controls his body, mind and power of speech, who is always in trance and who is detached, free from false ego, false strength, false pride, lust, anger, and acceptance of material things, free from false proprietorship, and peaceful— such a person is certainly elevated to the position of self-realization

Sadaachaar means straight forward behaviour. There should be no corners in our behaviour. Criticism, ear to ear talks (Para ninda) should be avoided

Preaching is only effective till it does not nourish our pride. The speaker should be extremely humble. We should try to inspect our own defects first.

Devotees, especially, do not create friends and enemies

We can learn from the above that mercy of the Lord is revealed by ignoring the flaws of a living entity and exalting his noble qualities.

The Lord is the remover of all miseries. He is the Lord of all, master of all living entities, imperishable, the Supreme among all existences, effulgent and transcendental

He for whom no one is put into difficulty and who is not disturbed by anyone, who is equipoised in happiness and distress, fear and anxiety, is very dear to Me

He quickly becomes righteous and attains lasting peace. O son of Kunti, declare it boldly that My devotee never perishes

With one’s body one can acquire all goals of life, and it is one’s parents who give the body birth and sustenance. Therefore no mortal man can repay his debt to his parents, even if he serves them for a full lifetime of a hundred years

Understand that I enticed you with benedictions just to prove that you would not be deceived. The intelligence of My unalloyed devotees is never diverted by material blessings

One who chants the holy name of the Lord is immediately freed from the reactions of unlimited sins, even if he chants indirectly [to indicate something else], jokingly, for musical entertainment, or even neglectfully. This is accepted by all the learned scholars of the scriptures

The powerful presence of the paramaatma Vasudeva who lords over the whole universe should be fervently acknowledged

Certainly, therefore, since time immemorial, all transcendentalists have been rendering devotional service to Lord Krsna, the Personality of Godhead, with great delight, because such devotional service is enlivening to the self

Hundreds and thousands of living entities meet death at every moment, but a foolish living being nonetheless thinks himself deathless and does not prepare for death. This is the most wonderful thing in this world

One cannot avoid the infection of illusion through any process except Krishna consciousness

If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right.

We should always keep our baggage ready to vacate this place anytime

Wisdom is knowing when to speak and when to shut our mouths. Useless talk always leads to troublesome situations and our entire focus of life would be lost. When we misuse our senses in worthless talks, we glide down from the path of progress.

if a sincere person tries to control the active senses by the mind and begins karma-yoga [in Krsna consciousness] without attachment, he is by far superior

My dear Lord, all living entities within this material world are mad after planning for things, and they are always busy with a desire to do this or that. This is due to uncontrollable greed. The greed for material enjoyment is always existing in the living entity, but Your Lordship is always alert, and in due course of time You strike him, just as a snake seizes a mouse and very easily swallows him

Take one and only shelter of Krishna

Bhagavata-dharma is called sarvotkrshta, the best of all religious systems, because those who follow bhagavata-dharma are not envious of anyone
