This ahankaar becomes the greatest impediment in accepting our destiny. So our connection to Krishna is determined by how much we are ready to satisfy the Lord and not satisfy our senses and those who satisfy the Lord, automatically their senses will be satisfied."
Maharaj said, "Someone may say, 'Maharaj I have no envy for you', but if you do not follow my instructions then I take it that you are actually envious and the symptom of your envy is in the lack of following."
When we realize that nothing can come with us, then we accept our destiny. It is very important that when you cannot accept that nothing goes with you, then you cannot accept anything in your life. That is why we always must remember the day of our death."
use your intelligence to be eager to study Bhagavatam and be with Krishna. If you are with Krishna in any program, anywhere, just by remembering Him, He will give you inspiration to be always enthused. If you do not remember Him or do not try to remember Him, then He will take away the inspiration and in the end what are you left without Krishna? Life without Krishna is death. You don't have to die now but you are as good as dead if you do not have brahma sparshanam
"We are nobody to judge others. Krishna is the only Supreme Judge. Do not poke your nose in the matters where you are not needed to. Do not comment on the things which can hurt others. Be loving and kind to all.
The residents of Dvaraka are immensely separated from Krishna and they run towards Him as soon as Krishna enters Dvaraka blowing the fat-boweled conchshell, the sound of which removes the fear of all living entities.
The very reason for our miserable material existence is our tendency to lord over and Gurudev in this lecture very clearly and lovingly explains this point and instructs the way to get out of this tendency.
Whenever devotees find that there is trouble between each other, there is trouble in the world, we find they have not put Srimad Bhagavatam into practice and that is the only reason why they are in trouble. So solutions are very simple. But we do not accept them because we do not accept Krishna.
"We should carry the flag of gratitude. Whatever we were yesterday, tomorrow we must change. Otherwise this Bhagavatam speaking is just a social ritual. What is the point if tomorrow I cannot put this into practice? Then Bhagavatam also becomes a ritual. So Maharaj said, never make anything related to Krishna, a ritual. Never. Every day is a new day. Every day we have to put our hands together and every day we should be prepared to be grateful to Krishna."
1. Akinchana vittaaya
All the wealth you have in the world cannot equal to Krishna and that is very true. The more wealth you have, the more you forget Krishna and the more you forget Krishna, the more anxious you become not for Krishna, but in forgetfulness of Krishna.
Krishna is described in three ways in this verse.
1. Akincana vittaaya – He is the property of those who are materially impoverished.
2. Nivrtta guna vrttaye – He has nothing to do with the material modes of nature.
3. Atmaraamaya shaantaaya – He is self-satisfied and most gentle.
For Bhagavatam our head needs to be cool. For this we must try and make it practical that we always remember Krishna whenever we can. This must be a practical point in our lives. Don't think about yourself. The thing is we glorify ourselves too much within our mind. Every where we run, we are thinking of how we will be glorified.
We never trust Krishna' words in Bhagavad Gita verse 9.22, "But those who always worship Me with exclusive devotion, meditating on My transcendental form, to them I carry what they lack, and I preserve what they have."
8. Service without expectation would please Krishna:
My dear Lord please forgive me that I could not execute my service to the best of my ability. I failed in my service. But I tried and I could tell you from my knowledge of shastra, the time in which she is leaving now is an auspicious time. Whatever you have lost in this time, you will gain back". Jatayu even in that condition tried to serve Lord by uttering sweet words to pacify the Lord.
1.There must be a change in our lives
If there is Bhagavatam and there is no change in our lives, that means we are just reading Bhagavatam, but we are not accepting Bhagavatam. Whatever we were one year ago, we should not be one year later.
What to speak of 24 Gurus? We can have millions of Gurus. Infact we can learn something from everyone and hence, in that sense, everything and everybody in this world is our Guru. If we are humble and sincere, Krishna will reveal all the transcendental knowledge through all the different entities in this world."
"In the beginning of Krishna consciousness, one may not fully discharge the injunctions of the Lord, but because one is not resentful of this principle and works sincerely without consideration of defeat and hopelessness, he will surely be promoted to the stage of pure Krishna consciousness."
