Maharaj said, "Someone may say, 'Maharaj I have no envy for you', but if you do not follow my instructions then I take it that you are actually envious and the symptom of your envy is in the lack of following."
When we realize that nothing can come with us, then we accept our destiny. It is very important that when you cannot accept that nothing goes with you, then you cannot accept anything in your life. That is why we always must remember the day of our death.
Use your intelligence to be eager to study Bhagavatam and be with Krishna. If you are with Krishna in any program, anywhere, just by remembering Him, He will give you inspiration to be always enthused.
We are nobody to judge others. Krishna is the only Supreme Judge. Do not poke your nose in matters where you are not needed to. Do not comment on the things which can hurt others. Be loving and kind to all.
Be more humble than a blade of grass. Blade of grass, you walk on it, it will not shout or scream. It will tolerate. Mahaprabhu tells we should be more humble than this grass. You have to find out the defects of your own self instead of blaming others. We should always inspect ourselves .
One can chant the holy name of the Lord, in a humble state of mind, thinking himself lower than the straw in the street. One should be more tolerant than the tree, devoid of all sense of false prestige and ready to offer all respects to others. ln such a state of mind one can chant the holy name of the Lord constantly
The residents of Dvaraka are immensely separated from Krishna and they run towards Him as soon as Krishna enters Dvaraka blowing the fat-boweled conchshell, the sound of which removes the fear of all living entities.
The very reason for our miserable material existence is our tendency to lord over and Gurudev in this lecture very clearly and lovingly explains this point and instructs the way to get out of this tendency.
Here we notice how before we came to Krishna consciousness, we may have read Bhagavad Gita 100 times, but we did not understand it. But when we approach Bhagavad Gita with bhakti, with submission, the whole Bhagavad Gita becomes revealed to us. So material intelligence does not help us because it has nothing to do with Krishna.
"We should carry the flag of gratitude. Whatever we were yesterday, tomorrow we must change. Otherwise this Bhagavatam speaking is just a social ritual. What is the point if tomorrow I cannot put this into practice? Then Bhagavatam also becomes a ritual. So Maharaj said, never make anything related to Krishna, a ritual. Never. Every day is a new day. Every day we have to put our hands together and every day we should be prepared to be grateful to Krishna."
We never trust Krishna' words in Bhagavad Gita verse 9.22, "But those who always worship Me with exclusive devotion, meditating on My transcendental form, to them I carry what they lack, and I preserve what they have."
If there is Bhagavatam and there is no change in our lives, that means we are just reading Bhagavatam, but we are not accepting Bhagavatam. Whatever we were one year ago, we should not be one year later.
"What to speak of 24 Gurus? We can have millions of Gurus. In fact, we can learn something from everyone, and hence, in that sense, everything and everybody in this world is our Guru. If we are humble and sincere, Krishna will reveal all the transcendental knowledge through all the different entities in this world."
"In the beginning of Krishna consciousness, one may not fully discharge the injunctions of the Lord, but because one is not resentful of this principle and works sincerely without consideration of defeat and hopelessness, he will surely be promoted to the stage of pure Krishna consciousness."
