As soon as 'mayi' comes, we are puffed up - 'Come on. Get devoted to me." And then we utilise the living entities who are very fully surrendered to the Supreme Person to fulfill our own objectives.

If there is some spiritual inclination, then we slowly fan it, unless it goes beyond our limitations to allow the living entity. That should be the way and that is the meaning of spiritual master. So anybody who directs the living entity to the correct path, according to spiritual matters and never have the material tinge of expectation - nirapeksha - we have seen is the first quality Krishna wants.

When Hanumanji could not find Sita even in Ravana's palace, he felt despondent as to where else he could find Her. He was worried if Sita had already left Her body or whether the demons had devoured Her. He could not bear such thoughts.

    Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.

This is in continuation of the previous topic, "Leap of Faith" wherein we were meditating on the pastime of Hanumanji leaping over the ocean to find out the whereabouts of Sita. In previous offerings we saw how Hanumanji reached Lanka after facing so many challenges on the way.

Flying over the island he came upon the city of Lanka, which was perched on the summit of Trikuta mountain. As he climbed down the mountainside he considered how to best enter the city. He made his way to the edge of the city, which was encircled by a wide, deep moat. Lanka, which had been constructed by the celestial architect Vishvakarma, was inconceivably splendid and it awed his mind.

Mucukunda expresses his gratitude to Lord for His mercy, as Mucukunda is detached from the attraction of kingdom. From his past life, we can see that Mucukunda was not attached to the kingdom, as he offered his help to demigods and fought for them hundreds of years without any personal benefit for him.

Hanuman moved on with the speed of Garuda. He saw many celestial chariots drawn by lions, tigers, elephants, birds and serpents as he coursed along the heavenly airways. Gandharvas, Yakshas, Vidhyadharas and other celestial beings were thronging the skys.

This is in continuation of the previous topic, "Leap of Faith" wherein we were meditating on the pastime of Hanumanji leaping over the ocean to find out the whereabouts of Mother Sita. In previous offering we saw how all devatas were eager to serve Hanumanji and how Hanumanji gracefully refused to accept any service as he did not want to relax until he completes his service for Lord Ram. Now let us continue to meditate further.

A demigod takes pleasure in seeing someone go back to Godhead. He is always pleased with a devotee of the Lord, so much so that by his adhidaivic powers he may help the devotees in all respects. And by their actions, the Lord is pleased with them. There is an invisible chain of complete cooperation between the Lord, the demigods and the devotee of the Lord on earth."

    3. Accept wisdom from everyone.

    4. Power of Holy Name.

H H Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj always said that parents are our real well-wishers and it is very important to get their whole-hearted blessings, for such blessings leads to bliss and and all auspiciousness in life. After praying to his father, we find Hanumanji completely immersing himself in thoughts of Lord Ram. He genuinely feels happy to have got an opportunity to serve Lord. And then he utters, "Jai Sri Ram!" and makes his leap.

Srila Prabhupada writes, "We can practically see how the devotees who have dedicated their lives for the service of the Lord in the Krishna consciousness movement are getting immense opportunities for the service of the Supreme Personality of Godhead without working very hard. The Krishna consciousness movement actually started with only forty rupees, but now it has more than forty crores worth of property, and all this opulence has been achieved within eight or ten years. No karmi can expect to improve his business so swiftly, and besides that, whatever a karmi acquires is temporary and sometimes frustrating. In Krishna consciousness, however, everything is encouraging and improving."

bodily sufferings must be borne by everyone as a reaction to their own past deeds. One should nevertheless reallize that the real self is different from the body. Without being overly attached to the body one should try to fix the mind on the Supreme Lord, with whom all beings have an eternal relationship.

Giving shelter to someone is not an easy task. We can do that only if we take complete responsibility of the surrendered soul, in the sense that whether they advance in devotional service or not, still one has to help in all ways and means at all times, and without any expectation in return.

The golden words, "No counteraction is the best counteraction", gets evaporated from our hearts and all we want to do is to take the judgement rod in our hands and punish the people who offend us. But if we introspect ourselves, how many times were we peaceful after such retaliation? Did it do any good to us or the people who offend us? The answer is always a "No". It only caused us more pain and suffering, and made others more and more inimical to us. So neither do we progress spiritually or materially, nor do we help other souls to go close to Krishna.
