When there is misery, we tend to spend most of the time meditating on it. Especially in case of praise/condemnation from others, we keep meditating on it and fill our ears with the same topic. We gain nothing out of it.
Running after the sense gratification will not solve our problems. Day in and day out we are discussing these things. But please remember that unless you come to serious sadhana life will not be successful.
I don't hate computers. But to be slave of computers is greatest misery we have created. So much so, we cannot write a letter by hand. Myself, I like to write a letter by hand. I don't like to write using computers. You write or dictate or type. You write the letter today and letter will be dispatched or posted next month.
If a person enjoys a brahmana's property without receiving due permission, that property destroys three generations of his family. But if he takes it by force or gets the government or other outsiders to help him usurp it, then ten generations of his ancestors and ten generations of his descendants are all destroyed.
Even a man's brothers, wife, parents and friends united with him in love will immediately break off their affectionate relationships and become enemies over a single coin. For even a small amount of money these relatives and friends become very agitated and their anger is inflamed.
Whatever pure fame is possessed by the famous and whatever praiseworthy qualities are found in the virtuous are destroyed by even a small amount of greed, just as one's attractive physical beauty is ruined by a trace of white leprosy
If you don't go submissively and very sincerely to Bhagavatam, you will not see Him. Otherwise as I told you earlier, if you neglect Bhagavatam, you are neglecting Krishna and so He will also neglect you
If you neglect Bhagavatam class, then Krishna also neglects you and leaves you. Please don't do this. Srila Prabhupada was very clear - Do anything and everything, but don't make this a ritual. It should be a lively with devotional service.
The beauty of singing the verses and understanding these verses is that we should be very peaceful in chanting them. Each word should be pronounced very clearly. It is Prabhupada's mercy. He has done such hard work.
