Maharaj says when someone comes too close, we cannot see him nicely. Familiarity breeds contempt. When we see someone very closely we can only see the face and we judge him by the face. When he stands at a little distance away, we can see better.

It is all our experience that now and then we face difficulties in maintaining our relationship with the living entities. It will be easy if we understand certain Do’s and Don’ts which will enable us to maintain the relationships in a nice manner.

This is in conclusion of the transcription of the nectarean Bhagavatam class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj on verse 4.6.50, in Johannesburg, South Africa on 8th December 1994. In last offering we heard one devotee inquire Maharaj as to what could be done if someone comes to us and criticise about others. Maharaj very wonderfully said,

As it is we are situated in our prescribed duties. We have our own duties and we are very busy in those duties. We have very little time to come to this side and so you please in that little time, you don't divert your attention. 

So this Kaliyuga will never allow you to be satisfied in any condition of life. Whereas Bhagavatam says - "You should be satisfied in any condition of life." And this is the way to kill the Kaliyuga. Otherwise Kaliyuga will take the grip of your mind and will drag you out of this temple room, out of this building and destroy you

See, we are mistaken in thinking that there is no good association. Because we are bad, we are attracting bad. As we knew from the verse 7.13 of Bhagavad Gita, everybody is deluded by the three modes of material nature.

But as the time goes on, there will be frustration, if you are not serious. So please get interested. Srila Prabhupada is here. Kindly he will guide you and he will give you everything.

So somehow or the other, this mercy we should see in every activity. We try our best to abide by the rules and regulations. But even then mercy is His.  

As soon as you die the whole thing is wasted. So you use it or lose it. So better to use that capacity. Mind is unlimited because it is supplied by the unlimited Lord and this is how we should depend on the mercy of the Lord.

We are divided according to our modes. And most of us in Kaliyuga are caught up in the mode of ignorance. And then in ignorance we do the activities. Doesn't matter whatever mode you are situated, you select your activities

We are satisfied in any kind of life. Today we are in the palace. Tomorrow we may be on the land. Day after tomorrow we may have something to eat or may not have anything to eat. It doesn't matter at all. In any condition of life, a Vaishnava is completely satisfied. And if you behave like this, then Krishna is satisfied.

At least there should be a food distribution and preaching center. These two things go together. You please try to be serious about these points and try to attract the local people.

Everyone should try to understand whether the Supreme Personality of Godhead is satisfied by his activity." See Prabhupada is referring to second chapter of 1st Canto. It is very important. "In other words, the aim of our activities should be to satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead

Third Canto is about the creation. Unless you understand the creation, you will not be attracted to Krishna. Then fourth canto is about secondary creation - visarga. That is the purpose of this canto. And for secondary creation all these chapters are mentioned and with that view, we should come to these verses.

If you are guided in your life by Srila Prabhupada, then there cannot be any mistake in our life at all. You are bound to be successful, because he is successful.

Every year is divided into nice fragments. And in those fragments, what kind of climate will be there is already fixed. There is no need of studying the climate daily and deciding the charts etc.

It is said very nicely in Bhagavatam that cows during the day, they go for grazing and the calves - small calves, they are tied to one place. But in the evening when the cows come back and it is time for the calves to drink the milk,.

Please ignore your mind and sing from your heart. You should pronounce nandagopa with nice vibration. This is how you should recite nicely and the public also will be pleased to hear it.

Once Lord Indra got upset with farmers and he announced there will be no rain for 12 years and they won't be able to produce crops. Farmers begged for clemency from Lord Indra.  Indra said, "Rain will be possible only if Lord Shiva plays his damru."

At that time, a beautiful effulgent female form came out of Prahlada's body and he asked who the person was. She replied, "I am behavior personified. Since you have gifted me, I am leaving you and reaching the brahmana who was your student." She entered the body of Indra.

Kashyapa Muni consoles Diti by saying that although her sons are of demoniac nature, she will be blessed with a grandson called Prahlad Maharaj who will be a very dear devotee of the Lord.

The feeling of separation in the heart of any living entity who has had even the slightest association with Maharaj is immeasurable. This is because of the unique personality of Maharaj who exuded unlimited love.

His Divine Grace Srila Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj has set an example of perfect spiritual master through his sacrifice and practically shown us how to attract the mercy of Lord and practiced how to be a perfect representative of Srila Vyas deva.

There is a nice story in the Mahabharata to explain this fact. Once Prahlada Maharaj by the merit of his behavior, had immense strength. He conquered Indra and subjugated all the three worlds

Prahlada Maharaja, the exemplary devotee of the Lord, had all the good qualities humanly possible. Although he was the emperor of this world, he was not profligate. Beginning from his childhood he was the reservoir of all good qualities. Without enumerating those qualities, it is said here summarily that he was endowed with all good qualities. That is the sign of a pure devotee."

While practising Krishna consciousness, we take part in various services like learning scriptures, organizing programs, doing preaching and helping in preaching etc, in addition to our devotional practice of chanting and reading. The final fruit of all these services and sadhana is to develop matured behavior which is a rare spiritual asset

As soon as we come to this point of devotional service to Supreme Lord, once and for all, our life is directed in the right direction. If you go away from this, then you have to face so many troubles. And in the troubles also if you come back to this life-style, then there will be less trouble and eventually the trouble will be gone. 

If you perform nice kirtan, you will have long life. The more you have breathing exercise, the more body will be free of diseases. Please in this age, it is a great penance, not to depend on medicines. It is a great thing.
