Vidura by his personal example is showing us as to what should be the mood when we approach holy places and to be more precise what should we do after going there.
unless there is darkness, you cannot appreciate the quality of brightness; therefore Krishna has created darkness, maya also, so that you can appreciate what is brightness. Two things are required.
Satisfaction is the key to peaceful life. In Srimad Bhagavatam we find Bali Maharaj questioning Vamanadev for asking only 3 paces of land. At that time Vamanadev explains to him about how important it is for a person to be satisfied with whatever is arranged by providence, for there is no limit for greed.

Because we get up at 3'o clock , 4'o clock and run immediately for mangala-arati. Where the cholesterol can stay? Cholesterol wants a cushy bed and sleep upto 9'o clock. That is cholesterol.
Suppose there is a mango tree. The mango juice is spread throughout the tree. But when we want to taste the juice, we have to eat the mangoes. You cannot go to the tree and start chewing the trunk or bark or leaves.

By following Srila Prabhupada's way, whatever minor ailments or chronic diseases are there, you will be able to overcome it. That is one way and as soon as Krishna sees that you are comfortable, then He watches how you are using the comfort.
s soon as you are envious of others, the others are not harmed, your whole system goes wrong. Because envy is not our natural position. Our natural position is to be blissful in the remembrance of Krishna. That is our natural position.
Duryodhana was burning really alive. He was not able to sit for a single second at ease. Why? Because he had envy. He wanted to compete with them. Somehow or the other Pandavas had got some five villages. It was completely arid, dry and barren land
Everybody's muscles, everybody's 5 great elements are His energy. And once you go to understand this, then His energies will work alright, provided those energies are devoted to Him, to His service and that is why service is our constitutional position.
Our time allocated in the body should not be wasted in these material retaliations. There should be no counteractions. Just go on with Krishna and tolerate everything. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's instructions to us.
Sometimes there might be some change, due to the association. Water's liquidity cannot be separated from water. But we have to remember one thing. The same water, using electricty can be converted into ice.
Our karmas, if they don't lead you to religiosity, our fruitive activities, if they don't force you to be religious, if your religion doesn't develop in you the detachment and if that detachment doesn't lead you to devotional service of Lord Krishna
When you have the sense of ownership on family members, you will be entangled more and more. Material energy will force you to create some other problem. So please don't worry about these things and try to be very careful and follow the scriptures and the same family will eventually be very comfortable with you
The below incident reveals how grateful was Srila Prabhupada towards George's service. Once Srila Prabhupada was staying in Manor in his room and George Harrison visited the Manor temple. Prabhupada asked the devotees to arrange lunch for George and he also took lunch with him
As the saying goes "Gratitude is a great attitude". In Sanskrit it is called Krtajna. The opposite is Krtaghna (one who is ungrateful). Gratitude is a great quality which each one of us should possess, especially when we take up to devotional service.
In any relationship we should give up the lusty tendencies. Relationship wherein lust is the basis, will not endure. Our relationships should be based on higher spiritual purpose, based on our scriptures.
