These things were coming down as auspicious tradition in our families. But they didn't know to tell as to why we have to do it. But Srila Prabhupada has re-introduced these nice traditions in our life and also gave us the torchlight of knowledge as to why we have to do some thing.

The mission of Lord Parasurama was to destroy all the irreligious and corrupt Kshatriyas (represented by the rulers, police and military force). In kali yuga these days (in India) we see that the ruling class and police force are very much corrupted.

You have to avoid the bad association. Stopping the bad association means stopping the bad ideas. Your ideas comes first and then the action follows.

And if you have no education, no money and you cannot dedicate your life, then you can spend your vacana. Vaacaa. Praanair arthair dhiyaa vaacaa. What is the vaacaa? Chant Hare Krishna and tell everyone, "Please chant Hare Krishna." Where is the difficulty? You can serve Krishna in any condition of life. But don't be miser.

The Yamadutas were little upset with Vishnudutas and Yamaraj being their master could understand this. So to clear out their misconceptions, he made them understand that just like how Lord is superior to Yamaraj, similarly the Vishnudutas are also superior to Yamadutas.

The pronunciation of the verses should be very clear and it should go right to your heart. This is relates directly to your heart. The classical music in which we sing these verses, relates to your heart. All other material talk deal with our mind.

Most of the time, we have to cultivate the ears to hear the inner voice and that will enliven the hell-like nerves and cells which are helping us to ear. Otherwise we will go deaf.

we must remember that Srimad Bhagavatam gives us the capacity to hear the things which are not possible to be heard by the material ear. This sound is the inner sound. If we have that sound, we can hear the sound. If we want to supplement the spiritual sound from outside, it is only invested in the names of God.

So these ears are required for hearing the transcendental sounds. And as I told you, the more you spend time in hearing material things, rock music and cinema music, we are heading for head-on-crash. We don't have that idea.

Regarding these verses, please remember one thing. Two senses have to be used. Our eyes have to be used and at the same time our ears have to be used. Both of these are miraculous, wonderful creation of Krishna.

You know that (this material world) is temporary. So you are not that much attached to it. That means you are detached from material atmosphere. Then you get attached to Krishna - tatra jnaana-viraaga bhakti sahitam - So that is bhakti.

You must daily get into the pages of Bhagavatam and the effect of that is jnaana and vairaagya - knowledge and detachment. Knowledge is inter-woven in Bhagavad-Gita and Bhagavatam. Transcendental knowledge

Don't complicate. Bhakti is very easy. And it doesn't require any effort really, because it is natural. But why are we delaying it, I don't know. It is only our laziness and carelessness. We are lazy and we are careless

Christianity came 2000 years ago. So don't you think there should have been some culture before that also? The creation of this material world occurred millions of years ago. So for millions of years, there should have been some culture.

We are fortunate to know about devotional service and get time and opportunity to execute it. So after getting this fortune, we should not leave it. Atleast one verse you should ready daily. Please, please - somehow or the other study.

The end result of studying Bhagavatam and doing devotional service is that our life, this human existence must be completely purified. If purification is not there, then there is no meaning for our devotional service.

Recently I met my bosom colleague who had just returned from a temple. He told me that he had visited the temple after a long gap as he was in troubled waters and so had prayed to the Lord for some remedy.

Without attraction to the Lord, we cannot keep our body also alright. Please this is the main requirement for your own health and body. It is not that you are doing something for Krishna. You are just doing for your own self. Don't leave these beads.

kul means family. We are very proud of the family. Particularly these royal families - they are very much afraid that their name should not be spoiled. If anything happens to them, then they are in the headlines.

Excessive sense gratification will give you diseased body. This is the greatest fear. If you watch too much TV, then you eyes are going to be bad. If you perform any sense gratificatory activity, you will be completely diseased.

This is in continuation of the topic, "Transcendental Pills" which is transcription of Bhagavatam class given by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj. In the previous offering we heard from Maharaj about some of the qualities of the soul as described in Bhagavad Gita verse 2.20 and Srimad Bhagavatam verse 7.7.19. Now we shall hear further.

Soul has tiny quality and the reservoir of all those qualities id God. And we derive the same quality because we are all part and parcel of God. Because we are all part and parcel of God, we don't hate anybody, we love everybody because we know that we are brothers and sisters.

If we want to imitate God's way of squeezing living cells into grain, we may try to put into a bottle, big bottle. But even then it will be a complete mess, because we are not perfect at all. Whereas God enters in every grain.

Soul is always individual. As soon as you die, and if you remember God, then you go to God's kingdom wherein you serve Him very nicely. And if you don't accept any other body, then you are saved from birth, death, disease and old-age

We should know why we are worshiping the Supreme Lord. (Referring to a devotee from Belgium Maharaj said) He is working hard in the temple and he has also nicely learnt the seed verses of Bhagavad-Gita and the 12th Chapter.  These verses are very important.

If you take these material possessions minus God, then it is all zero. No value at all. Everything belongs to God. That is why it is very beautiful to understand these verses and try to take permanent lessons from them.

when we describe the qualities of the soul, the same qualities could be applied to the qualities of the Supreme Lord. That is the benefit in studying about the soul. As soon as you recognise the qualities of the soul, then you will see that there is no difference between the qualities of the soul and the qualities of the Supreme Lord.

Then in order to know more about the soul, we go to Srimad Bhagavatam. There are beautiful verses in Srimad Bhagavatam about the soul. 7th Canto, 7th Chapter verses 19 and 20 are beautiful verses in Srimad Bhagavatam in which 12 qualities of soul are described.

The perfection of our life is to glorify the Lord by chanting His names and singing His songs. Unless we attain this perfection, we are all always disturbed and this disturbance is increasing in this age because this age is Kaliyuga.

Kali yuga is also known as age of quarrel. Srimad Bhagavatam 12th Canto very vividly describes the various symptoms of Kaliyuga. In the yuga, the good qualities of people diminsh and bad qualities increase.
