Srila Prabhupada says, "As much as possible, you chant. Then everything will be revealed and you will be able to do something. I started this movement simply by chanting."

Don't think it is a hobby or it is something superfluous. No. Actually, this mantra, Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Himself.

 Without any naama-aparaadha, if we chant according to the principle, then the mantra will act. Mantra will act in so nicely that the mantra will keep you always in touch with the Supreme Personality of Godhead. That is the power of mantra.

By simply chanting one gets the highest perfection. That is Caitanya Mahäprabhu's blessing and gift. 

Chanting is a prayer. An earnest request...And prayer is the language of the heart. It is in this position our chanting becomes enthusiastic and mind becomes subdued automatically.

"Pure devotion means to pray to the Lord, begging some service. My Lord, kindly engage me in Your service." That is the perfection of life, when one is engaged in the service of the Lord in love."

So if on the material platform, mental platform, the mantra can act so wonderfully, how much spiritually the mantra can benefit you. You have to simply imagine. So this Hare Krishna mantra is completely spiritual. If you chant it, spiritually enlightened, then surely it will act. Param vijayate sri-krishna-sankirtanam. It will act. Therefore chanting is so important.

Just like we are not, now at the present moment, we are not afraid of death. But as soon as we find there is earthquake, and we are afraid of this building may fall down, the cause of disturbances, then we become very much disturbed—sometimes screaming. So one who is not disturbed, even there is cause of disturbance, he is called dheera

However anarthas does not only mean bad qualities, it refers to anything and everything that is in excess or unused with us. For example if I have a lot of wealth in the bank sitting idle but am not using it properly, especially in the service of the Supreme Lord, then it will constantly disturb me, hence it is anartha for me.

In the above verse "tava vikshitaih" means "Your glance". Kunti Maharani is saying to Lord Krishna that it is only because of His presence, their kingdoms flourished. Kunti felt their kingdom will not flourish in the Lord's absence. Similarly,

You are always young with Krishna.  Krishna, you know at the time of Kurukshetra yudh, He was are hardly, He looked 20 years 22 years old. And in fact He was 125 years old that time.  He never ages after 20 years of age. That is Krishna. And we are the part and parcel of that father who never ages. So how can we age? This is powerful knowledge.

And because Krishna is situated in our heart, mattah smrtir – remembrance, jnaan – intelligence, and apohana – forgetfulness. Everything is coming from Krishna. And once you come to Krishna through chanting,.

There is no madness, our brains are quite alright, our mind is quite alright. Those who tell us that we are mad, they are mad and we are safe. Be powerful, be powerful. You are the sons of the powerful father. Come to the father, recognise that your father is very powerful. And the power will emanate from you also.

Seed you know seed, you put into the ground you water it and the plant sprouts out. The same way if you water this verse, the whole Bhagavad Gita comes out. You know this is how, you should try hard to learn these scriptures.

Instead of getting attracted to A B C D and E and F whatever it is, you just stop this falling and come to the point and get attracted to the eternal Lord who will never cheat you. Everybody else will cheat you. Krishna will never cheat you. This is the main point to be understood from this verse. And that's why this verse is very important and that is why, it is the seed verse of the Bhagavad Gita. 

So this is the way, we should recognise our own capacity and once you recognise your capacity, your own capacity, you have the idea that, you are the son of the powerful father. And that idea we should never forget, that we are the son of the most powerful father. And if the father is powerful, the son is going to be powerful; if father is intelligent, son is going to be intelligent; if father is wealthy, the the son is going to be wealthy

Just as words coming out of our mouth can make or mar a person, the looks of a person are equally powerful. That is why we are very careful to protect small children from the eye shots of evil and envious persons and we call it as evil drishti and we have so many rituals to get rid of that.

Sripada Ramanujar became very ecstatic saying that Vaikuntha was guaranteed for him, as he was also connected to Kuresh, being his spiritual master. Such is sign of humility of that exalted Guru. Later he again insisted Kuresh that he should ask Lord for restoring his eyesight. So this time Kuresh requested Lord Varadaraja

For those who are completely surrendered to Him and don't know anything else other than Him, the Lord is equally eager and anxious to help them in every step.

My dear Narada, actually I do not reside in My abode, Vaikuntha, nor do I reside within the hearts of the yogis, but I reside in that place where My pure devotees chant My holy name and discuss My form, pastimes and qualities.

Once after finishing his morning seva when Kanchipurna was leaving the temple it started raining very heavily. He was worried whether he will miss the evening seva because of the rains.

Few days ago, when Lord Athivaradar was taken out of temple pond after 40 years on June 28 2019, His transcendental body was covered with green algae. And the algae were all very fragrant. So just like how Lord's body is spiritual - saccidaananada vigraha - full of eternity, knowledge and bliss - so is the body of the Deity."

So ever since the Lord revealed His presence in Ananda Sarovar, He has been giving His transcendental darshan to all devotees once in 40 years, so that conditioned souls like us can see the Lord at least once in our lifetime.

Though these are some of the external reasons which we hear about Lord's appearance - by grace of Sri Guru, Srila Prabhupada and Lord Sri Krishna we can realise that Lord appears and disappears from our vision by His sweet will. He reveals Himself to His pure devotees and by the mercy of pure devotees, Lord mercifully shows His darshan to all conditioned souls - just to please His devotees.

By now many of us would have heard about the glorious rising of Lord Athivaradar in the temple town of Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu which is also known as Vrindavan of South. In yesterday's offering...

Srila Prabhupada in the purport very nicely reveals to us as to how much fortunate we are to be born in a land - wherein demigods are also hankering to take birth.

We might think of excuses - "I am not qualified to teach others...etc." So knowing our hearts Srila Prabhupada very nicely says in his class in Hyderabad about how he could become successful in his attempts.

The frog can stay. This is how every living entity, including animals has ability. The cow is the greatest mystic. Otherwise is there any machine in which you can put grass in one end and take the milk out side.

vyaaharan means vibrate Om. And the nice domes are there in the temple and the echo - we hear the echo you know. That is a beautiful arrangement particularly in Indian temples. So this only vibration, this vibration is transcendental vibration. It is not different from Krishna. But He says another part again that 'om ity ekaksharam vyaaharan maam anusmaran' - "You should remember Me."

He also reciprocates accordingly..ye yathaa maam prapadyante - "Those who worship me with whatever consciousness, I also reciprocate that.

We must be very patient, dhairyad, dhairya, dhir, and dhira purush - the definition by Prabhupad is very nice you know. That he is the dhira or she is dhira, who don't get agitated in the agitating situations.
