The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who doesn't care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. We should not ever waste time on discussions that make no sense.

Acronym is good, but in order to explain the acronym you have to be there, or you have to write on the book to understand the acronym, So, this is not the way, make it short, mature.

And in that real initiation is there, that you are awake. At the moment, waking also we are sleeping. So, don’t sleep waking. As it is in sleep about 11 hours, 12 hours, 10 hours minimum we spend. And then again when we wake up, we are not really waking up. So again, that is sleep. We get out of the waking sleep. And this is initiation. Prabhupada forced us to open our eyes. He saw that in waking also they are closing their eyes. They don’t know anything.

Don’t economise in simple food. Or don’t be lazy to cook. Whichever dishes you like; you please cook in plenty and eat in plenty. I don’t know Krishna’s arrangement you are able to eat so far, you may not be able to eat afterwards. These very rich persons, they have diabetics or this or that, they can’t eat. So, till you are able to eat, please eat nicely. That is the Vedic way.

I was also buying houses, and I had to take the loan because the money was not available, but within 2 years, I cleared the house. All the houses that I had, they were all free. People were really paying back the loans. And they said, "no, no, you will get some concession in the tax." I told that I don’t want any concession. I will pay tax. But better get rid of it. These are psychological worries. It disturbs your sadhana, it disturbs the calm of your house. 

I said, "Dada, you are simple nonsense." He said that, "you are living Kali Yuga in our house." (laughter) And I did not understand as I was young. "What Kali Yuga?" I asked. It is simple that I can understand the lock has no use because the other side is open. "Don’t talk", he said.

Prabhupada in this way, he wanted to create a revolution. And he is successful. Otherwise, how can you all sit in dhotis. We are here in simple clothes, very simple habits, getting up early in the morning. He introduced these spiritual habits. And the more we get it sincerely, we will be very happy in this complex situation also, and those whom we preach and if they are convinced, they will also be very happy.

In our childhood, farms were there, so suppose we go to the orange garden, oh that farmer would be very pleased to see the boys. He would say, "Sit down," and one stack of oranges he would bring. And spread in front of us and (requesting) us to eat, "as much as you can." (laughter) And now there are no gardens, but if there is somewhere something, you go there and danda will come. (laughter) So (much) of scarcity there is, formerly they were very pleased.

"As sure as death" - it is said. But one thing we forget; that we have to die alone – nobody will die with you.

We are too much computerised. (laughter) And you are earning money from computers. So instead of Krishna, it is computer consciousness. (laughter) And really it is one of the curse if you don’t behave alright. All these unnecessary chatting and so many things are there. You all know better. All Kali Yuga inebrieties are hidden in the computers.

If only we have the same insatiable greed which the man in the story had to increase his business, to increase our love for Guru and  Krishna, and to be always alert in all situations to look out for opportunities to serve Them in whatever possible way, then that would be our ultimate gain and success.

To succeed you must try and try. And not just dream and wish and sigh. A lion's prey won't go exploring inside his mouth while he is snoring.

When we meet each other, we should smile - say Hare Krishna and inquire about each other's well-being. It would just take couple of minutes. What is the guarantee that by the time you return from the appointment, I would be alive

Maharaj looked at him and said, "Man, you look very smart in this dress, but you know that Vaishnava dress suits you very well." So in a subtle way Maharaj conveyed the message as to how it pleases Maharaj when we wear Vaishnava dress.

You see the body is round and the dhoti is flat. We have to tie the dhoti around our body. But what do we do, we put the dhoti on table and keep ironing it. Ultimately it is going to get crushed. So what is the point in wasting time in ironing.

His humour was amazing. He was giving a class. At that time, there was no mobile. It was only landline. Maharaj was giving the class downstairs and we had the phone upstairs.  And when the phone rang, one brahmacari went up to answer the phone.

This house is not for you to enjoy, but to practise Krishna consciousness. How dare you misuse the facilities given to you? Always hear Prabhupada's kirtan. That will help you to progress in spiritual life.

Even in those days when he was struggling a lot, it was just mystical to see just the way he moved about with his sadhana - morning mangala-arati etc. So even that Nasik home was like a temple. He had his own mini temple set-up there.

I asked him, "Dada, we are getting so much grains from the land. Everything is self-sufficient. All opulence is there. Then why are you saying Kaliyuga?" He said, "Can't you see that you are sitting in front of me without a cap on your head? Such a disrespectful manner ! This is Kaliyuga. You are Kali yuga

"That's nice son. Source of income is there means, then you will be in mode of goodness. Because source of income is there, some lakshmi is flowing in, then you can sit and chant your rounds nicely." First time, I was hearing such an interesting fact about source of income.

Whenever you want to buy something, before buying it from the shop, you please think 2-3 times as to whether you really need that item. Most of the time, we buy some items, which we are actually not in need at all. We may buy that item, without analysing its real utility and then it will just remain unused in our homes for many years. So before buying any new item, please think nicely, "Are we really going to use this item frequently? Is it absolutely needed?" Think over it nicely and then decide

Maharaj, you always say that when we study Srimad Bhagavatam, our behaviour should also change. But so far, behaviour has not changed. So please for studying Bhagavatam sakti-buddhi-hina, ami ati dina, koro’ more atma-satha. I don't have any qualification. But I am simply dependent on your causeless mercy.

We don't know that the car is destructive!  Car is going to be destroyed one day. If you buy new car, may be for 5 years it will be alright. But after 5 years, definitely trouble is awaiting. That is material thing. But in bhakti, trouble is not there. It is trouble proof. Miseries are not there at all.

We have come here only to study Srimad Bhagavatam and not for collection. Bhagavatam will gives us everything. If you study Srimad Bhagavatam in Dwaraka dham, Sri Sri Dwarakadish will be very pleased..

Don't type. Write. If you type and keep, it is finished. It will not stay with you. If you write in your diary, then you can refer the notes anytime when you carry it along with you, even while traveling in bus etc.

You people are sitting in front of me. So I know your condition and I can speak to you later also. But the living entity calling miles away from me, we don't know in what situation he/she is in and what assistance they need. So I give priority for them first.

Our center of attraction should be Krishna and we should be in touch with Krishna always by chanting the Holy Names and following the instructions of Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam

Regarding children Maharaj says, they have big eyes and small ears. They might rarely listen to what we say, but they always observe what we do. So right from childhood, they keep watching what we do and after certain age they will be repeating whatever we did.
