` After considerable thought, he intelligently arrived at this correct decision. Such a decision is not reached by a sinful man. Therefore in Bhagavad-gītā it is said that those who are pious (sukṛtī) can decide that in a dangerous or awkward condition one should seek shelter of the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa.
No one should have any kind of doubt in this matter, nor should one be inclined to seek the help of any other demigods, because all of them are dependent on Him only. Everyone, except the Lord Himself, is dependent on the mercy of the Lord; even the all-pervading Supersoul is also dependent on the supreme aspect of Bhagavān, the Personality of Godhead
The soul has to get energy from Paramatma. Otherwise soul has no capacity to run this body. So we depend on Him fully. We don't know the arrangement of Krishna. He is protecting us every second of our existence.
Just reducing our own necessities, we spread happiness everywhere. We go to every house, why should we complicate our life and force the house people to be disturbed? This is the thing. As it is they are busy in their own affairs. Fortunately, you are with them, fortunately you are being given some place to stay. So, why again to punish them?
tWhen we are very simple, hen only you can have some idea of the others’ misery. Otherwise, if you are complicating your life, you are in need of so many things, so you cannot think about the others at all. And whenever some person comes, we want to exploit him or her.
Prabhupada always said that why are you worried about seeing Krishna, you improve your lifestyle so much that Krishna would like to see you. We don’t want to see Him, we are going on with our devotional service and He comes then.
To the extent we follow Bhagavatam, to that extent we are relieved from the diseased condition. Then we come to ease, as I told you. Then you will never be diseased. But apart from Bhagavatam we are diseased.
we cannot avoid these things. But at the same time, the easiest way is that our mind should always be absorbed in Krishna kirtan. Either we are speaking about Him, or we are hearing about Him, so the other things should be completely absent from our mind.
Only everybody has to skip one meal. And skipping one meal means, you are healthy. Doctors will shout that "where are the patients, where are the patients?"
Always we cover up our faults and bhakti is nil then. If bhakti is not there, by bhakti-yogena how can we? There is no bhakti, so how can it be ‘by bhakti’?
Please unnecessarily don’t divide yourselves according to the initiations or whatever. That is maya. Anything which is detrimental to recognise Krishna, is maya. So, we don’t hate any disciple who is from other Guru or whatever.
Service is important. We are always serving Kṛṣṇa. And frankly speaking we are always serving either ways our family, or our own self, or we are serving somebody. We can never be the master. The service is the main, our constitutional position. As soon as we understand this we are winning. As soon as you try to become master then you are losing.
Then what we did, we had this one volume Bhagavatam. And I told him see this is your medicine. And he started reading and within a year he got rid off the medicines, Then he came to the temple and he got rid of it. Point is with all these foolishness we can get rid of it with Bhagavatam. So definitely Bhagavatam will help us in whichever situation we are.
We have beem to houses in England. So in one house, we went the mother was sitting in a corner, father was on the sofa set. The children were completely morose. I thought somebody might have died you know. So I thought, I asked them. "have I come at the wrong time?" "No." "So then why, why why?"
We didn’t look to the weather at all. We just look to the clock and were getting up in the morning, doing our duties and never look at the weather at all. And that gave us bit of satisfaction. Otherwise always people are meditating on the weather, there like Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
Flowing water at Haridwar, here also in Gomathi, it’s all sea water. But as soon as it enters the cliff it becomes Gomathi. And somehow or the other something, all the skin diseases are completely absent if you take bath in Gomathi, any skin disease. Then any intestine disease is also completely absent if you take bath in Gomathi and these few things are our own experience.
Only the genuine medicines should be touched and it is said ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and the black pepper, white pepper. These are all medicines. Our masalas they are harmless.
Formerly houses were in the simple brick construction. Brick means it is regarded as very good construction. Even these bricks were not baked. Only the earthen bricks were there and you will be surprised in the winter, they will be warm, in summer they will be cold. I don’t know how it works. But these mud houses, they are automatically, according to season, they were warm and cold.
Flats were completely absent. There were no flats. All the houses were on the land. At the most two storeys. Or maybe if the man is very rich three storeys. More than three storey, there were no houses. Three storey means it was a skyscraper in a village (Gurudev laughs). But no more. The more high we go, we don’t know really where are we staying. It’s unnatural.
We went to Dwaraka, all fresh vegetables are available, plenty of. And there is not a single refrigerator. I told one Bhaji man that you must have refrigerator so that you will not spoil your vegetables. He said, "No! No! we can’t sell that way. Everyone throws to cows and they will sell fresh."
This (devotional service) should be with great velocity, we should have this. I don't know we forget everything as soon as we get up from here. The seriousness is absent. And because the seriousness is absent we have many problems in front of us. If seriousness in devotional service is there, there is no problem.
Surdas was blind, but he was very courageous, The devotees are very courageous. So Surdas said to Akbar that, "Please my mind is so full with Kṛṣṇa that I don’t have any place for you in my mind. So how can I sing? My mind can’t work, my mind is completely reserved for Kṛṣṇa.
Perceive means to see, imperceptable means it never can be seen. atyakrāmad - surpassess, the time element surpasses the living entity imperceptibly. We don’t know and we cannot see. Even that time (not clear) yesterday was gone. Once sunrise and one sunset means a day is wasted in our life. Nobody can deny this fact,
The bulb shines means that it has intimate connection with the power house. Otherwise it will never shine. Our connection must be with this scriptures, whatever we speak should be from this. And the more again and again and again we are doing the same things for this.
So if the, the material particle fails, material things fail then we have to find out something which is directly opposite to material thing. And that is spiritual. And this is the need of spiritual remedy and that spiritual remedy is only one. So the conclusion is that it will be seen and heard through the persistence chanting of the sound of the vedas.
Similarly, the Lord being the father, all living beings should fully and satisfactorily discharge the duty and will of the father, as faithful sons. This very mentality will at once bring peace and prosperity to human society
Whatever a person may be in the estimation of the social order of things, if a person tries to reciprocate a feeling of love towards the Supreme Personality of Godhead and is satisfied with the blessings of the Lord, he will at once feel the highest peace of mind for which he is hankering life after life
All living beings must accept the origin of their specific power as mentioned in this verse. And if they act accordingly, then simply by discharging their respective occupational duties they can achieve the highest perfection of life, namely eternal life, complete knowledge and inexhaustible blessings.
